Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

Please not another chance creator. Chances for who? Somebody has to put them away.
Ideally the attacking midfielders we have, or another striker we go 433. A great target man is so.much more than chance creator though. They'll get a few themselves but be great at attacking and defending set pieces and be an outball, something we've nit had in a very long time.

Simic for me without question, so much like Stewart and at 20 with Mendy we would be serious about going up.

This all day. They were obviously comfortable with the price they originally agreed, then the goalposts moved, the selling club wanted more, and they didn't think it was a good deal anymore.

While we need a forward in I'd rather we spent bigger money on a younger player we know can score at this level, will be here a while, or will otherwise offer something back if he does well and we end up selling him. Hopefully the club are looking at Simms wishing they'd spent up and brought him in last season rather than the false economy of bringing in four lads who were unproven and offered very little.
I'll eat hay with a donkey if we sign Mendy if Caen are not being realistic.
Blowing half of the Clarke money on him is not how I'm reading our heirarchy.
Paying 30 y/o Dack's top wages must weigh heavily on their minds.
Not that I'm comparing him with Dack of course, I have no clue what Mendy would deliver for us.

At least Mendy has been amongst the top scorers in a league - Dak was not at that level relative to the league he was in(not just scoring, but contributing at a similar level given his position). Now, how that would translate to the Championship and to Sunderland is anybody's guess.

Was shite for us but Dack was definitely at that level for Blackburn

Well we sit fingers crossed until Friday hoping for two of Mendy, Cannon and Simic🤞

Given we play one forward and two wide men (Roberts/Mundle first choice) I’m just wondering how two from above plus Mayenda and Isidor would work. I think Cannon, Mendy and Simic would all expect to play most games and Isodor too

Honestly, I am not familiar with that Blackburn squad or Dack's contributions but I didn't believe that he was amongst the best midfielders in the league. Again, maybe just me being a bellend.

Plenty of competition, about time we had competition up top

Him and Diaz were very good mate. Was pure shite for us like but our loss was loose women’s gain

I think you're right. Mendy isn't talking his way out of Caen to sit on our bench. I'd be very surprised if we sign either Simic or Mendy at this stage. We'll know soon enough I s'pose 🤷‍♂️

medy has achived less than dack in his career of course..and is more expensive..

Would have Stansfield way before Cannon, Cannon injury record is concerning, hasn’t had a look in for Leicester.
It's OK saying you'd have Stansfield however you need to remember he turned us down last season because he wanted to stay down south. Will that have changed? I doubt it

If we sign another 2 forwards I wouldn't be surprised to see Mayenda go out on loan

Sack was an excellent footballer at this level a few seasons ago like. Was touted as a future premier league player at times.
Injuries and the “life” fucked him. Let’s call a spade a spade he never looked fully fit here let’s be honest. One of his last appearances for us I swear it looked like someone from the colliery had won a raffle to get an appearance for the lads as he wobbled on to the pitch. Seems more interested in his wife’s life than being a footballer now.

Oh he was a massive disappointment here like. No two ways about it. Have no idea what his life off the field was/is like but was just commenting on his career overall. Sack is a canny auto-correct mind.
