Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

Why would we be after him when he would be the highest paid lad at the c lub even AFTER taking a huge pay drop?

Surely that's why we are trying for overseas lads? significantly lower wages.

Be amazed if this is happens unless his club subsidise it.

We wouldn’t bid if we didn’t think we could do it. We also seem to be in the strongest position.

Sheff United, wanted a loan to buy, still don’t have their takeover complete, can they really bid for him?

Norwich, ruled themselves out

Stoke, wanted a loan and have been reported to not fancy the fee

Luton, have Morris and Adebayo

Us - top of the league, having a great start, need a main man to be number 9 so guaranteed to start. We have the Clarke money and have already made a perm bid

I don't think the model means we can't pay high wages. It's about getting a return on everyone they do buy and to not overpay anyone more than they are worth. They could make Nick Cannon the highest paid if they feel he's worth it and still get a return on him when they sell.
