Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

Reportedly, he's on £47k pw at Leicester 👀
I doubt its anything like that given he signed in the championship from Everton reserves.

Also presumably SAFC will have had at least some indication of his salary before bidding and if it is indeed that high we wouldn't have bid in the first place.

If it's that high we certainly won't be buying him, and it's extremely doubtful Leicester would be able to sell him at all, would be looking at loans only.

Could have been promotion clause that ups the contract like. Seems a ridiculous wage though

It’s possibly more complex than that.
If he’s on approximately £2m pa then Leicester may be keen to get his salary costs off the books.
Transfer negotiations possibly involve a fee but also Leicester paying off some or all of his contract if he hasn’t asked for a transfer.
It will then depend on how much any club is willing to pay in fees and salary costs.

According to he's on treble our highest earner, Ballard. If that site is accurate, imagine the other players looking at Dack as the top earner on £18k!
Bradley dack £18k

No idea why people think these are close to accurate.

I reckon this is all a smokescreen to flush out Mendy from Caen.
They hear we’ve put a bid in on the Monday, they sign a new striker on the Tuesday and have a very unhappy one training alone.

There’s no way Cannon will move to the Championship on a permanent if his reported wages are anywhere near correct. A loan maybe but this £5m ‘bid’, given they paid £7m for him last season is never going to be enough
