Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

Not quite but it's a good point that hadn't crossed my mind.

This can't happen and I'm 99% certain this won't happen.

To be fair we’ve signed Isador who can play there. Isador/Mayenda for the season.
If we sign another one would you want Mayenda third choice and not playing?

Why are people so excited about him?

Genuine question. Leicester blew everyone away last year and he scored 2 in 13.

Small purple patch at Preston which is probably no more then Mayenda is on track to do. 5 million plus seems a lot
I imagine the scouting team who’ve looked into him and decided to bid, similar price to what Leicester done don’t just look at stats and base their whole opinion from that.

There is way more to it.

Every time he’s made available pretty much most champ clubs get involved and that’s because he’s good and has great attributes for a striker in the champ and he’s only 21.

Cannon
I think Mendy looks ideal for our team

YouTube isn’t a guide to anything, but Mendys is nonetheless very impressive.

His penalty box movements are superb and he is genuinely two footed.

He looks a very good fit.

Cannon would probably offer more balance and looks made for RLB-ball.

Simic looks to have the highest ceiling and is scarily reminiscent of Stewart.

I’d be happy with any of them tbh.

Surely Cannon is a better signing than Simic? Already shown he can score goals in this league. Simic could end up like a Hemir for all we know.

Just going off what reporters have seen of Simic. All them seem to suggest that he has a massive future in the game. He also looks much more of a unit at 20 than Cannon does.

It's just my preference, altho I'd be happy with either as long as Cannon is now fully fit.

I don’t have any up to date intel on this. But I have an impeccable source in north west who told me that Sunderland made a very strong attempt to get Cannon in January - I posted this on RTG.I found out subsequently that in order to get the deal over the line as the asking price was so high we suggested a 50% sell on clause which was the highest clause they had ever seen.

So our interest in Cannon doesn’t surprise me!

Simic and Cannon would be my preference if we are taking two out of three. Mendy does look like a handful, but the upside to Simic and Cannon is massive. Both could play and win in the PL if they continue to develop, but they are also already comfortably championship standard.

I say we just keep buying 18 to 22 year olds with a bit of senior experience. This first group was the most important part, but now that we have traction (in that we have bought or developed 8 to 10 players succesfully who are significantly more valuable than they were when we acquired them) recruitment now has a lot more room to work with.

Do anyone of you's actually believe this Cannon talk ffs man they do it, every transfer window, mind games honestly think Wilson will be a Quality signing but I'm not exactly trustworthy of the hierarchy, hope I'm wrong

Don't believe it at all, it's the usual smoke screen. We know fine well we won't pay his expected wages.
Not bothered anyway, we got Wilson.

The outrage

Are you expecting us to buy someone for £15 million like?

At least spend half la fee, would esa be too much to ask? But I guess el owners profits es more importante.

We have to have goalscorers if we want to get out of this league, goalscorers cost money. We will be in the same position as Mowbray was if they don't get one, dominating large stretches of games but unable to score. I don't think they will be able to replace Clarke's 15 goals and the ones we lost from our last promotion battle, from Stewart, Simms, and Diallo. Therefore I am switching my support to Newcastle, hahah joke hahahah! :D hahaha hahaha 🤣.

Source?

Was dead against this on account of his supposed attitude and not being all he's cracked up to be.

Then I realised I was getting him mixed up with Troy Parrot. Don't know out about Cannon.

I just can't handle all these young Irish strikers with novelty surnames who have played on loan at Preston at some point.

Sell a player for 15 mill, bid 5 mill for someone and people are more than happy. We are the ideal fans for these owners mind.
So you sell a player for £15m, and your suggesting we buy a different player for £15m, and that would what, make everyone happy? I’d rather have kept jack Clarke than spunk all his sale proceeds on some fucker I know nowt about personally, but sell and buy say three better than we have squad players now I’d be happy with that, it’s how a club progresses without breaking the bank.
