Development isn't linear. I'm not saying Cannon would ever be capable of stepping up and I'd want to see more of him before judging him really. But writing him off is ridiculous really.

We don’t know if Clarke will hack it in the PL either.

He’s the type of striker that could really suit us too, for his size he’s still good at holding the ball up as he has decent strength. He’s quick, makes good runs and is a good finisher. He could take us to that next level we’ve needed up top
 
Simic might sound exciting, but Cannon has scored goals at this level and at the rate we need a striker to score at.

Simic is proven at Austrian 2nd tier level. There might be a player there, but it’s a far bigger risk.

Mundle - Cannon - Roberts

I’d be happy with this as our attacking 3, very happy.

had a look. not many want him to go on a permanent. Seems like the perfect time to get him. Clarke money in and most of the other clubs interested have spent the coin or need a sale. Speakman did mention sometimes its worth waiting til the final week as some of the better players from the prem become available.

Would be a bit of a statement from the owners and show the next stage of their model. I still don’t allow myself to believe it or even get a little bit excited because 9/10 your left feeling let down. Mind we are in a healthy position going into the end of this transfer window, it shouldn’t be hard to convince players to come now unless they are being offered more money elsewhere.
