Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

Cannon or Stansfield are the 2 options that are proven in this league that also fit the profile of what we'd spend money on. The thing that makes me nervous about Cannon is he missed a lot of football last season with a bad injury, anyone know if he's fit currently?

Also regarding other interest. I read yesterday that Sheffield Utd were planning on doing a loan to buy and Stoke didn’t fancy paying the perm fee and wanted a loan.

maybe we could actually win this? I don’t eventhink Sheffield utd’s takeover is official yet?

Not that I’m particularly in favour of losing him but weren’t Leicester linked with Ekwah earlier this window?

Maybe a deal to be struck?

rather spend on proven striker atm to get us where we need to be he’s scored 10 professional goals , he might be decent but it could be a gamble and no better than what we have or why would they sell him
Because they are in the PL and he wants minutes?

Will he get the playing time at sheff United, I know he’s been injured a lot but even when he’s been avaliable as a Leicester fan said earlier neither of his two managers there really made any effort to get him in. Surely that comes into his thinking and we’d be the much better bet on that front

Maybe, but if Sheffield offer a transfer fee we can't match it won't come into it.

Cannon in with Mendy and Isidor would be pretty decent in fairness. Hopefully we get a proper LW in too.

People keep banging on they want a striker with championship experience and scores goals in the championship.

Well, we've bid for one.
I'd be amazed if we try and sign another winger. Mundle, Watson and Isodor already for that position. Not sure we want or need four left wingers.

Bennette and Poveda can play their too you would imagine

Sell a player for 15 mill, bid 5 mill for someone and people are more than happy. We are the ideal fans for these owners mind.
Mental isn’t it?! It’s like we haven’t been talking for about 3 years how we look to sign players who are considered good value with the ability to grow, develop & sell on for a profit. Basically the opposite of what we did for about 10 years.

How can these people not be happy that we’re not going out bidding £15m for a player. Lunatics.

By the way, here’s a list of our most expensive signings, it’s a great read.
