We aren't going to replace him man for man but we need to find a way of improving the team and squad to make up for his loss - over to Speakman and the club as to what happens next. This surely has been planned for.

We've been done a kipper again man, The fee is shite and the only reason we are bringing two strikers in is because we are relying on the Clarke money to fund it.

We haven't spent a bean all summer yet want Rege to get us in the top 6. There's absolutely zero ambition to get promoted based on what the ownership are investing in the playing squad. We would have got 15 million for Clarke next summer with a year left on his deal regardless, If he replicated the same form from last season.

Absolute mugs, Well the fans are, the ownership couldn't give a fuck.

Aye don't disagree with that, your post just made it out like everything is fine because we won the first 2 games.

Never want that to happen especially in the boardroom, that's the fastest way to be up shit creek without a paddle especially when a lot of the problems last season was because we had no depth and the likes of Jobe were blowing out their arse.

I remember this debut at Bolton in the infamous six nowt, and thinking to myself "that young kid that came on looked shite". How very wrong I was. All the best young man 💓
 
The meltdown isnt selling him "within the model we have been told the club is operating". Its the fact they've sold him for so far below the going rate its unreal.

After Spurs take their pound of flesh we are left with just over £11M, who's to say the add-ons ever materialise and there's not even a mention of a sell-on clause for us when Ipswich sell. I genuinely think we'd have been better off keeping him for the remainder of his contract and letting him go for free at the end. What he'd give you over the next 2 years is worth so much more than £11M and massively increases not only your chances of promotion but also staying up.
