Jack Clarke

That’s my point though - we sold Stewart last season with no adequate replacement.

We’re selling Clarke this season and (as yet) have no adequate replacement.

Do we just keep selling our best players because we won’t pay them decent wages, and as a result of selling them don’t get promoted?

look at the fee we got for stewart with a year left and the injury, its basically the clarke fee because of the spurs sell on, i doint think it can be spun, its defo under valued

These clauses... assume they'll never be disclosed but realistically what can they be, beyond one or two year PL survival for Ipswich?

If they come straight back down, is that the extra £5m likely up in flames?

And what odds on a relegation minimum fee release clause for him?
Could be different amounts based on games, goals, assists, whether they stay up, whether they get to Europe, whether he plays international games, if he moves on for over a certain amount. Could be anything.

Just playing devils advocate but potentially club taking cautious approach. Take the money now with over a week to spend it or they get an extra few million in the bank but no time to spend it.

Can’t help but feel like he was always going to leave this window. The actual fee means very little to us as fans as they could just decide to reinvest a higher % of fee received and it makes no difference

For 15m why sell him at all?

FFFFUCKKKKK OFFF! We're in the Premier League. Used to be in League One with you. Remember? That team you played at the start of last season. Should've won. Didn't. Then Broady scored that deflected first and Hirsty let go a screamer for number two. Then, while your Director of Football or whatever it is was writing off a season, because he sacked that bloke with the massive mole on his fizz, the Londoner, swarthy type, double chin, looked like he enjoyed a nice cooked brekky once too often, well, where was I? Oh yeah, because he sacked him off and left his twat sidekick, the bloke who always wore that baseball cap, in charge, and your results went south quicker than a fat bird's tits after fifty, you missed the chance to compete excitingly with Leeds and Sarfampton and do last minute jammy winners. And lo, we went up, and are therefore so minted, we could keep you as our bitch and still have enough left to buy Liam Delap for fifteen massive. That Ipswich.

Even your gaffer was touting himself about to get out of your club.

You’ll be a one season novelty before relegation and suffer the financial ramifications for a decade. Enjoy.

Delusional.

Don’t worry though lads.

The day it comes to selling out better players for higher fees we’ll start shopping in a better market and will sign more accomplished players…… income two strikers no fucker has ever heard of
Rusyn supplying Wilson.

Don't want to be seen sticking up for the club, but we don't know how Clarke (more importantly his agent) is going on during this. We can't be standing in the way of player moving or we will stop being so appealing to the next jack Clarke type signing.

Still, should have been closer to £30m all in imo.
