Absolutely this. Their finances have been an absolute mess since they come down and were absolutely desperate to shed players last season but struggled to, with several leaving on loan initially and it restricted what they could do in the market last season.

Yes they've had a financial boost and have sold several players but with one year left of parachute payments they were never paying 20m+ for a Championship player.
