I'll be very disappointed if we sell him now. Far too late in the window to do anything about it and would almost certainly ruin our season. He's worth more to us now than any transfer fee we'd get offered.

What happened to him singing this extension? Has there been anything else said?
As it stands we have nobody anywhere near replacing him, and I'm far from convinced that the club will have anybody lined up if he does leave.

If Clarke goes now it's a big set back, a double whammy if you like. Especially if he goes to Leeds ( a rival) rather than the EPL.
Also we will not have much if a chance to replace him with a player of similar quality. ATM no existing players in our squad comes near to him.
