There’s nothing about being prudent that’s exciting for your average football supporter, but it is exciting watching the three central midfielders on Sunday, that cost about £2m in fees between them. The two wingers who struggling to get first team matches. A right back that has played at a very low level & a left back that just wanted to play football. All of this was done in a tight financial structure & all of a sudden, the majority of our good players are signing new contracts.

Hull, Leeds, Birmingham & Coventry all spent a lot of money last season. It was said numerous times on here that they were “showing ambition”.

Most clubs have sold players to spend money. We've sold no-one oddly considering that was meant to be our approach. Middlesbrough and Coventry are some of the bigger spenders but both made hefty sales of two players in the past year. Still expect us to spend something, but without player sales I doubt they'd be large fees

It was never meant to be our approach. Fans have made it up and it's become gospel. Speakman on numerous occasions has emphasised that we do not want to sell our best players however if a top team come in for them for big money then we'll negotiate the best deal we can.

Young lad no benefit in selling him for what we would get for him now he’s scored more goals than Auchie has through the middle he needs to be played there and let him develope he’s not a winger your judging him on that
