Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

It’s very basic to be able to identify a forward . Their role is to acquire them . Maintaining the stadium is also a prerequisite. The ticketing operation remains poor and the majority of young players aren’t good enough . That’s without the managerial shambles and the BCB/ Newcastle issue . He’s no Bob Murray
Same Bob Murray who we protested against for not investing? We don’t half like to rewrite history

Ba as Roberts replacement, miles off
Mundle or Bennette as Clarks replacement, miles off
The strikers, doesn't matter who plays up front miles off all of them
Matete in midfield, miles off
Hjelde as cover at left back or centre half, miles off
Anderson, see Hjelde
Triantis as cover for Ballard or O'nien, miles off
Johnson cover at right back, miles off
The two keepers brought in as cover for Patto, miles off

Depressingly true.

Speakmans nightmare last three transfer windows have left us swamped with utter shite.

There can’t be another team in the Championship, that has such a glaring chasm in ability between the 1st XI and the rest.

I'm sick of everyone thinking we're this 16th place squad, for 18 months we were in and around the play offs, yes they fucked up with the manager situation in January and that is the only reason we finished where we did.

If anyone honestly believes this squad is a 16th place squad then you need to stop watching football.

We have some excellent championship players, which is looking like the club have somehow managed to retain.

They're all a year older and we will sign a cf this window, we will be in and around the play offs, I've got no doubt on all of that.
We have a very good core to the team, no disputing that, however pretty much all of our current strength is home grown or signed Aug 22 and before. Only Jobe and Browne in the last 2 years. Ekwah if he stays otherwise we make a profit.

Thats why people are concerned, we’ve bulked the squad with players that either aren’t good enough or ready yet. For all the talk of succession planning and progression the Aug 22 team would very likely beat the current one

This summer there’s been good work on new contracts for Ballard and Rigg, Browne should be a very good signing.

When we wrote the season off in February did any of us really believe we still wouldn’t have a striker through the door (yet) or the new manager wouldn’t have an assistant or any coaches (yet?). It’s mid August. Did we really write off last season to be “this prepared”?

The playoff team v Wycombe arguably would.

Not too bad !

Rigg , Hasheesh, Ballard, Poveda .

At a push Seelt.

The rest are shit , and our CF choices are pure shit.

We and Plymouth have spent nowt. All hail King Dufus the saviour. Not me , he's pure shit.
Think that's the issue we're in now.. the last 18 months of signings + managerial decisions have probably set them back 2 or 3 years on that so called 5 year plan to the premier league

When everyone is fit it's fuck all like you've just said

Huggins for Hume
Alese/Huggins for Cirkin
Alese/Seelt for Ballard and 09
Mundle for Clarke
Ekwah/Rigg for any of the midfield 3
Poveda for Roberts

most of those players would walk into a lot of championship sides

This is our squad after the 1st eleven @leerik_canamole

Moore - give him a chance
Triantis - never seen him play well yet
Joe Anderson - just no
Hjelde - awful
Pembele - going
Ba - non League player
Aouchiche - just runs around like a headless chicken most of the time
Bennette - needs to go
Mundle - looks decent
Rigg- baller
Poveda - if can stay fit might be decent.
Mayenda, Hemir, Rusyn - awful

That list should give people nightmares.
Dont think anybody can argue with that

You’ve identified the problem in your argument, in your first four words.

You might as well have said “if Triantis Hjelde and Anderson turn out to be Prem quality, it’s fuck all like you said”.

Some of us live in the real world. Where Niall Huggins is never fit, injuries and suspensions happen, and shit players are just shit players.

Still, only four more years on Hjeldes contract then we can move him on.

Huggins is constantly injured
Cirkins and Alese injury record also both poor
Seelt bad injury in first season playing against adults
Mundle couldn't lace Clarkes boots
Ekwah, hasnt been the same player since he got injured against QPR, attitude has been called out by previous coaches
Poveda looked well overweight, stinks of lack of self discipline, also his injury record is a worry.

Most of those players spend more time on crutches than on the pitch

Did look bloated like
🍾🍾🍾 "Will Griggs on Fire, Will Gri......."🍾🍾🍾
wonder how the conversation would have went with Jack Ross and Speakman in those last hours

How big a squad do you want a championship side to have????

People keep rubbishing our fringe players, take Ba for example. We were still able to accommodate him in a team that beat Southampton 5-0 last season along with Bradley f***ing Dack.

It's the championship ffs, 95% of the back up players are pretty shit.
