FFS man, you can get injured for your hamstring sprinting next to your home, sprinting after your dog, or any sporting field in any sport.I could equally say that you'll defend any criticism of this hotch potch tournament no matter what.
If Stokes hadn't been mandated to partake he wouldn't have incurred the injury i.e. it was a consequence of partaking. Wholly logical to SEVER that risk by avoiding the tournament.
So any critic of this farce of a competition is now stupid in addition to being a snob.
That's the only one I have seen because of the Euros and the Olympics not because of ethical objections. Plenty of entertainment and enjoyment to be had out of that.
so Stokes got injured as a consequence of participating in this evening's game but his injury had nothing to do with this evening's game.?FFS man, you can get injured for your hamstring sprinting next to your home, sprinting after your dog, or any sporting field in any sport.
I am not defending the tournament, I am saying injuring a hamstring has nothing to do with this tournament
This whole line of discussion blaming a particular tournament for an injury any injury is beyond farcical I am out of this debate.
I normally like debating this one is simply stupid!!!
So not saying anymore as it’s just ridiculous
No he got an injury that could have happened in any game of cricket or in daily life at homeso Stokes got injured as a consequence of participating in this evening's game but his injury had nothing to do with this evening's game.?
So your toys are going out of your pram because you won't accept that point. Stooping to your level by using insulting phraseology.
I have heard Harry Brook has fell down the stairs tonight at the ground banged his knee and Phil Salt has slipped on his way home at a service station both out for 6 weeks.so Stokes got injured as a consequence of participating in this evening's game but his injury had nothing to do with this evening's game.?

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.I have heard Harry Brook has fell down the stairs tonight at the ground banged his knee and Phil Salt has slipped on his way home at a service station both out for 6 weeks.
It’s all the 100’s fault if they were not playing in the 100 they would have not travelled and iit would not have happened![]()
The difference being that his participation in the CC games was deemed necessary practise in preparation for the forthcoming test series.I very much doubt if he had done his hamstring playing for Durham in the county championship there would be many suggesting that this was the straw that broke the camel's back and the competition should be binned.
He certainly wouldn't have been made available otherwise.Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Well it’s just silly man, when in the highest of cricket has the particular tournament been to blame for a cricket injury.Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
Every game? Yeah whatever your view overall, and I’m not much of a fan, that comment is just ridiculous. It doesn’t even apply to the game that’s just happened, where the top three were back in the dugout thing with 29 on the board, and the number 5 won it.Every game the same. All about the top 3 batters, usually one early wicket and the other two hit a handful of fours and sixes with loads of embarrassing swing and misses. Powerplay ends, spinners like Rashid and Zampa bring the run rate right down, and trundling medium pace mostly over the hill variation merchants come on to finish like Curran, Curran, Jordan, Paul Walter etc and the batting quickly becomes scratchy and ugly. Everyone from 4 and lower all get between 0 and 15 in 0 to 15 balls, and throw their wickets away.
Small boundaries to make it look better than it is.
Makes good players look bang average and the whole thing looks like a high school cup quarter final.
And then they force their Test captain to join in to sell a few thousand more tickets, he totally underwhelms because he's a better more careful batsman than the slogger they give him credit for, and then gets a season ending injury. Bravo ECB. FTECB.
The exception that proves the rule isn't it. Give or take a couple of early wickets, it's the same every time. Powerplay decides the gameEvery game? Yeah never seen a high school game where they knocked off 50 with 20 balls leftEvery game? Yeah whatever your view overall, and I’m not much of a fan, that comment is just ridiculous. Powerplay always has very important role in short format cricket it’s not exclusive to The Hundred just as important in T20The exception that proves the rule isn't it. Give or take a couple of early wickets, it's the same every time. Powerplay decides the game
Aye Pooran innings was brilliant, not that he will ever get any credit for it on here.WOW!!
I’d probably argue it gets more important the shorter the format gets. This format barely even needs to be 11 a side. In fact, at the risk of giving the ECB ideas, it might well work better if it was nine a side.Powerplay always has very important role in short format cricket it’s not exclusive to The Hundred just as important in T20
Powerplay just as important in a Durham blast game as a hundred game
No one is blaming the Hundred concept for the injury. The criticism is his being mandated to participate in a particular fixture for no reason other than to keep the dying embers glowing of a tournament promoted as containing world class players.Stokes has repeatedly complained about the excessive workload of England players.Don't mandate them to play unnecessarily and purely for promotional reasons.Well it’s just silly man, when in the highest of cricket has the particular tournament been to blame for a cricket injury.
Can you imagine the John Player League, the Benson and Hedges or the Gillette Cup or County championship been blamed for a player injury?
Of course not, hamstring injuries can happen in any tournament I do enjoy debating with you mate, respect your view 99% of the time even though we fundamentally think differently, can 99% of times see where you coming from however this just daft.
Having done my hamstring many times it happens when you sprint and can happen anytime,.
It’s very important in both T20 and The Hundred, I think it’s fair to say and agree with you because the Hundred slightly shorter it’s slightly more important, but on the whole on average what important and what decides games in The Hundred is broadly the same as in T20 as there very very similar.I’d probably argue it gets more important the shorter the format gets. This format barely even needs to be 11 a side. In fact, at the risk of giving the ECB ideas, it might well work better if it was nine a side.
