Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

We don't pay big wages at all mind, something like 5th/6th lowest in the division before the summer. Probably go up a bit with Neil and Ballards new deals but the championship is much of a muchness in terms of wage bills once you take away the parachute clubs.

Vast majority will be between 8 and 12m and we are at the lower end of that

Has Neil signed a new deal?

It’s alreet though according to some though, we don’t need to spend money as we have to pay wages and signing on fees for frees 🤣🤣(every club has to pay that as well)
People are still arguing that today, as if it's unique to Sunderland and a sign of ambition that we pay the players every month

And wage structure. Mustn't smash the relatively low ceiling

Personally think the club have banked the full transfer window on selling Clarke early doors and with that not happening thats the reason no one has been bought for a fee which is utterly insane considering Clarke could be sold very late in the window.
Totally agree mate, said it for months now “ we will not sign a permanent striker fit for purpose” until Clarke is sold. Prob the last 48 hrs , which we will then have the “ ran out of time unfortunately to get someone in”

Our wage bill was 25.6 million in the most recent accounts, I don't half read a load of crap on here

Are we there yet?
Or as the happy clappers will - told you so!

The seasons underway and we will once again be lurching from everythings wonderful to absolute shite (speakman) depending on the result. In reality the only thing that has changed is 3 points

Posters stay the same though don't they ? They seem to do anyway

Are we not past ‘happy clappers’ and ‘bed wetters’?

Surely everyone just wants us to sign a centre forward now.

Posters are still quoting figures off our leagues one years. How can we be signing players like Ballard on long contracts on piss poor money ???
Posters with agendas keep spouting the same shite enough until it almost becomes a fact .

There seems to be a recurring theme with transfers this past two years...All the eggs in one basket then " oh feck!" when it goes tits up.
I am ìn the pro-manangement camp and think this is terrible planning. There appears to be an element of not being able to get important stuff over line which has not improved over the last 12 months.
As person who has ran teams you have to manage expectations and don't undermine your position within the organisation as you will start to lose respect with everyone. Rectifying previous mistakes allows you to maintain credibility throughout.

He was terrible got absolutely bullied and the shots he had didn't it one cleanly
He wasn’t and he didn’t, people are being hyper critical of him because of the striker situation and I understand why, but for a teenage striker making his first start he played alright.
Think youre a really good poster mate but id consider yesterdsy anything but decent like.
People need to lower their expectations around him, he should be playing around 20 games and most of them coming from the bench but has been thrown in at the deep end due to the club’s shortcomings in the transfer market.

If we already had an established striker and yesterday was a cup game people would be looking at the performance differently and agreeing that he’s a good young player with good potential who just needs time, but because of the above mentioned shortcomings and him being apparently our best option people are rightfully worried and I understand that, because I am too, but I feel people are being unfairly critical on Mayenda himself.
