Seems to have kept his head down despite the constant rumours.

I wouldn’t hold it against him if he did move on. It needs to be a decent enough off for us mind.

He works back and helps out as well as he can but that is not his strength. If he moves to any of the linked teams, he is likely to spend more time defending than attacking.
Brentford are the best team of three but they don't play with traditional wingers.
At end of season, I thought he would leave but not so sure now. Think he is best off where he is and he has been through the PL frustration once already. A lot to be said for being happy and free to play to your strengths.

He doesn’t seem to be pushing for move so I would keep him until January at least. He is crucial.
If he moves to Brentford, Southampton or Ipswich, he is going to spend a lot of time defending and playing as second left back. Not sure that is going to play to his strengths or interests. But not sure he is good enough for top half team.
There’s not many “mid table certainty teams” though and he’d be mad to move to a guaranteed relegation “certainty” or even a certain struggler.
In years gone by WHU, Forest, Everton, Newcastle, Villa and City could be relied on for a player to spend his career in the top flight without too much expectation to win trophies. The mags, Villa and city have now expanded the big five to a big eight. WHU are looking to do similar within a couple of years while Forest n Everton look to be strugglers at best for a few more years now.
Brighton and WHU look his best bets and he apparently doesn’t fancy down South again. Mind you Brighton and the South Coast is a helluva place to live. Leeds going up this season is my “worry” though I accept the model is to move lads on eventually.

No. Its not an opinion. I'm definitely right. The stats back it up.

There was a small period under dodds last year where he stayed forward but other than that, and yesterday, he tracks back often
He'll realise eventually that when he thinks one thing and many others say the opposite, it's because he's wrong. Might take a while mind.

I'll keep an eye out next week.

............and here he is again. 🤣🤣🤣

I think it’s a difficult one. I’m still not 100% sure if he’d make it in the prem. his goal yesterday wouldn’t happen as the defenders are miles better.

I hope he earned enough money from his spurs transfer that it’s not about money and he’ll stay this season and keep progressing. No matter what tho.. next season he’ll have to move up otherwise he’ll never know.. hopefully with us 👍

Good win yesterday and the local media are tripping over themselves to dampen any enthusiasm.

Saints are struggling with FFP given a lot of their expensive buys pre relegation, whereas Brentford are dropping over £25 million of Carvalho.
