Winger
He scuffed because he couldn’t sort his feet outOnly a terrific save denied him today tbf, once he gets off the mark hopefully it gives him some confidence.

It was like he had a lead right boot the way he had to drag it. Terrible reallyHe scuffed because he couldn’t sort his feet out
His first touch just isn’t good enough . That’s not his fault . Proper centre forward and we win easily todayHe's just a young lad and by god he can't lead the line for us throughout the season but he has something about him for his age. Shame he didn't score for his confidence but apart from his 1st shot that went AWOL he got another couple of shots away that were on target if not blocked or saved. Needs limited game time at his age mind
How do you know there is no plan b and c. You don’t, none of us do…I do defend “the model” and I am on board with signing young players with high ceilings and good sell on values and not overpaying for players, it is literally the way to run a sustainable club so I’m not against it.
What I am against is the complete lack of preparation with this one, you can’t just go for 1 player and not have plan B or C. If we had 3 players in mind and we said we won’t pay more than X for A, more than Y for B and more than Z for C, then I’d be on board with that. But you simply can’t identify 1 player and then try and play hardball when we are in the position we are in. This whole striker pursuit has been nothing short of a piss take.
I’m going to stick my neck on the line here and say Speakman is actually good at his job, but his job is academy manager and youth development, NOT a director of football. If the club had Speakman signing the youth players and then an experienced DoF signing ready made players, I’d be happy as a pig in shit, but Speakman is quite simply out of his depth in this role as he only knows youth football and players with potential.
There wasn't in January, so it wouldn't be a surprise. How do you know there is no plan b and c. You don’t, none of us do…
Oh I agree. I'm just saying he's only 19 and has some attributes to work on. Not to be be the main striker by any imagination. His first touch just isn’t good enough . That’s not his fault . Proper centre forward and we win easily today
I’m not sure the basics are there to play at this levelOh I agree. I'm just saying he's only 19 and has some attributes to work on. Not to be be the main striker by any imagination.
Confidence is a massive thing at that age. We are all entitled to our opinion as you are as well, but as a striker who is eased in with experience he could come good , but if thrown in at he deep end it could ruin him hereI’m not sure the basics are there to play at this level
Any decent striker in the SPL needs to be scoring at the very least 1 in 2, if not 2 in 3, he’s shit man and the current R9 would be a better signing than him.

1 in 3 is good ya think we ganna sign r9 or summit like
Because if we did, we wouldn’t be scrambling around looking for a panic signing now. If we had a plan B or C then we would have signed one at least a week or 2 ago, ready for today. How can you not see that man?How do you know there is no plan b and c. You don’t, none of us do…
Aslong as it’s a good one hahaBecause if we did, we wouldn’t be scrambling around looking for a panic signing now. If we had a plan B or C then we would have signed one at least a week or 2 ago, ready for today. How can you not see that man?
We hung all of our hopes on Mendy which is fair enough if we got the deal done, but now we are at the mercy of a new board who look like they don’t want to do business.
Last minute panic signing incoming.
He panicked mate.He scuffed because he couldn’t sort his feet out
It'll come down to what they offer him in the way of a new contract. The lad is going to get a lot more money than he is on now in the Premiership or going to a club with parachute payment money. They are going to have to rip up their wage structure to pay him what he is worth to our team. They won't allow him to leave for nowt either, especially when the owner has a Golden Goose at the club.I wouldn't be surprised if Clarke stays
(unless he really wants to leave) and Speakman will come out with "We don't need a striker because Jack will score goals"
Think we all know it won’t be, panic signings never areAslong as it’s a good one haha
You reckon the Mendy deal is off then?Think we all know it won’t be, panic signings never are
Drastic?Nothing I’m prepared to stick my neck on the line about unfortunately.
Few whispers but that’s all they are, and I hope they stay whispers too because they’re drastic!![]()
A terrific save? Really? Come on man! He did everything totally wrong, had time, space hit it with wrong foot. And hit it straight at the keeper. Was bizarre.Only a terrific save denied him today tbf, once he gets off the mark hopefully it gives him some confidence.
But thats not going to happen every game is it? I think we could have had 4 or 5 with a proper striker today they were awful at the back, ridiculously slow but totally bullied mayenda.I'll take a 2-0 win every time over playing an experienced striker.
He did the same twice in the first half . I think sometimes getting your feet mixed is a balance and a head down issue . Sometimes everything is just happening a bit quickHe panicked mate.
