Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Did I mention you?

There are people on here saying others are negative just for the sake of it. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen after last summers transfer window shut and the same again last winter. The same fans are seeing the same kind of mistakes and lack of planning again.....we kick off the new season next week ffs!

I've no time for folk who just blindly follow. End of the day, whatever side of the fence you're on regarding the board, both sets of fans only want the best for their club.
Agree and the club said they would learn from mistakes.

They haven’t and it’s like Groundhog Day.

We are the least demanding support in football but when 32,000 have bought season tickets snd backed the club with record shirt sales is it to much to ask for the club to at least have a go at promotion?

No competent strikers or DCM a week before the season after 18 months of desperately needing them tells me not 1 thing has been learnt from the humiliation of last season.

If the owners or Speakman can’t see the deficiencies in that team and can’t or won’t do anything to address them they need to go. At the moment it feels like it’s going to be a difficult season.

That isn't the source or reason for my user name but carry on, rid yourself of the anger, I have broad shoulders.

What is the source of your usernamme

Dan Neil is a competent dcm. People just want him further forward. He's getting better every year as well

That plus Browne is a lot better at covering forward and back and adds much needed experience.

You said since promotion back to this league you've been worried.

What’s your point?

I was slightly concerned we didn’t have enough in Aug 22, as we others, there was nowhere near this level of concern, but it those of us not wumming which I’m convinced you are, or those of us who can look at things objectively, could see then we looked short upfront, and said as much, although much more toned down as in the main it looked ok.

There was the same excuses then, “there’s still weeks left in the window” etc. then stop being negative and bedwetter and all that jazz, and within a few weeks of the window closing, we had no striker as both were injured and our form went out the window.

On Jan 1st Everton recalled Simms, and the concern grew massively, Stewart then got injured and exactly what people were concerned about was realised.

Stewart then got injured against Fulham, same again, “weeks left” stop being negative, bedwetters blah blah blah, but we ended up ridiculously short. Yes we finished 6th because of the brilliance of Amad, Clarke and Roberts, but that Luton away game showed glaring holes, and had we signed the cover us “negative” folk pointed out, I firmly believe we’d have beaten them.

Onto Aug 23, and again the same craic, “weeks left” Fannies etc. it was even worse when we signed the bairns and rusyn, the abuse was ridiculous, and look what happened, last season was absolutely horrendous, not just up front but we dropped like a stone, and we were incredibly lucky there wasn’t a few games left.

The so called forward planning really came in to its own, and it resulted in an absolutely horrendous few months. All the concern was justified in this spell as a result of our incompetence over a 18-24 month period.

The penny finally dropped and the vast majority acknowledged people’s concerns were justified.

Fast forward a few weeks and a couple of Hummel tops and here we are again, stop being negative, abuse being thrown around by the likes of Nelson. It’s beyond pathetic.

So yes fears over a period were well and truly realised and it’s not just people being negative. If you can’t understand that, then like I’ve said it’s one of two things. You’re either a complete wum, or you refuse to see beyond red and white blinkers.

This talk of DCM, I honestly don't think they plan to play with one. I think it'll be 433 with all 3 midfielders being expected to contribute to defence and attack.
You're right, but so is the club in thinking we're better with 3 midfielders rather than with two. We've got a strong midfield with AB, DN & CR, let them play together, develop an understanding and control games.

You write too much. It's too early to read and respond to all of that.

I think a firing on all cylinders Ekwah gets in that 3. I'd also like to see Aouchiche as he offers creativity

This is why I’m convinced you’re a wum. You ask questions and people answer you, when in gets too difficult to answer good points, your resort to shit like this.

Then a few days later you’ll repeat the same shit hoping people have forgot.

If I’m wrong about any of what I’ve wrote, tell me how, what isn’t justified in any of that?

Absolutely bang on this mind. I'm refraining from posting much, but the usual suspects are out in force high fiving each other and embarrassing themselves immensely.

I often wonder if their day to day lives are equally as miserable and depressing. Gotta be on sad existence if so 🤣

Baz…

This club can do one if they appoint Michael Beale, absolutely disgraceful, forward planning, what a joke they are.

Also Baz…

People questioning our lack of striker and forward planning and lack of striker are an absolute set of twats.

Your absolutely pathetic lad as I’ve said a few days ago. You can spit your dummy out when you don’t like something and give your opinion, but others who don’t like something can’t say a word because it doesn’t bother you.

You really are one very strange bloke 🤣

Genuine questions....

1. What is the "lot of good stuff" that's been done this summer?
2. What has happened to give you the impression we look on good shape under le Bris?

Fair enough mate but when a football club solely signs players for the future rather than bringing in players who can improve the first team now then there's a very strong chance they're going up end up going backwards.
1. The signings have been positive in the sense we have compromised and brought in Championship experience. Great news on Ballard and Rigg signing a new deal as well.

2. Can't take too much from pre season games but the shape of the side looks really good and very well organised. Le Bris mentioned in his first interview that we were going to play 4-3-3 in attack and 4-4-2 out of possession and the shape of the team is really clear to see. You can see in our patterns of play that we are trying to play in the triangles he has mentioned. I'm optimistic in that sense.

But............We really need a competent striker or two. And if we don't get them we are going to be in trouble. Could go either way this season.
