Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Exactly, although I did feel at the time that this was another part of why Mowbray lost his job. Must have killed the confidence of a couple of that bunch up front, don't think any of them got 3 games in a row.

Again though like you said, I'm not sure any of them would have proved to be anything of a revelation last season but it wasn't great man management.

I completely agree which is why I thought we would see a shift, however small, in bringing those players through and building them up when he left. But the opposite happened with beale and even more so Dodds playing the same players even out of position in front of them. It's all too fragmented in that different areas of the club are far from aligned imo there, add to that a window of signing "experienced" average championship players and it all seems a touch concerning again in what were trying to accomplish.

I’ve just stated I deeply dislike them and their negativity toward the club, why would insulting them be ironic?

Yeh, the anger is palpable. It's not conducive to the peaceful life I enjoy these days.
For the U21’s which is not what we need. It’s strengthening the matchday squad in key positions we need. Not another 18 year old who may or may not make it ffs !!!

To keep this on a positive note, your user name is extremely well chosen.

But (apart from the horrific football) I suppose that could also have been a part of the why Beale went so quick and why they seemed very adamant Dodds wouldnt manage us again.

I don't want to be labeled a "happy clapper" 😂 but I just think this is going to be the make or break window, currently I'm hopeful we finish the window in a good place but if we don't ....

I'll always be on Speakers side given the value he created when we were at our lowest. I'm just scratching my head as to why we have never fully committed to something that was working so well.

I don't see it as a make or break at all, in fact it looks entirely boring at the minute, bit of a backwards step if anything that'll leave us bottom end of top half as long as the coach does a decent job.

I'm frustrated more than anything as to why we appear to be floundering in direction when after 4 years or so it should be more concrete than ever. And as for last season, to pick someone who only lasts a couple of months is beyond bad and then to compound it, crikey.

Yeah so far it hasn't really been too impactful of a window, but I guess that was just me assuming we will have a different first choice striker by the time it closes.

Assuming there will have been a couple players out the door before Cardiff and this maybe opens up some scope for incomings in terms of squad size.

Exactly mate, I know clubs can't just trust fans when it comes to appointing a manager and they have to go with what they believe... But Beale was such an obvious mistake its just mind boggling.

Mind you our head of data analysis James Young had left in the October and he was quite instrumental in how we found players and managers to fit what we needed, believe he designed a lot of the analysis tools we used and the recruitment dipped in December and January following that. Hopefully been rectified.

Meanwhile the backroom staff go quietly about their business and almost without comment on here they bring in a promising (?) young DM. :)
That's exactly the problem though. These signings might be great in two years time but what about now!

We need to sign players who are going to come straight into the first team and improve it. Not more hopes for the future.

We’ve got a quality one in Browne I’d like to say so far. Let’s hope we can get a few more

Maybe that will turn out great some time in the future, but how does that improve our chances of beating Cardiff or Sheffield Wednesday?

I don't know about you but I'm in this for the long game. Been a fan for some time now so I guess I'm stuck with it for life. Win, lose or draw I'll still be a fan of my home town club and without believing they will get everything right for the most part I'm enjoying the approach of our new owner.
