Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Absolute state of that kid from Chelsea last season man where we did exactly this

An absolute disgrace from those in charge and laughing at the supporters

Cough up and shut up spouting the crap

Buy the players that will see us compete where we should be and that’s for promotion

Think it's clear that promotion isn't at the top of this boards agenda. They'll knock a few sales out each season, buy some cheap inexperienced kids in and roll the dice again.

I've not seen anything concrete to suggest the club is aiming for promotion. There's been one signing so far that goes straight into the first team from the squad that finished 16th last season and Browne was (conveniently) on a free.

Seems a long time ago since the owner apologised and said lessons have been learned 🤷‍♂️

2 seasons? You said last 2 seasons

Eh?

The failure to bring in what was required in the last 3/4 windows, has seen fears realised.

Last season was a result of a complete lack of the fabled forward planning. Things went from bad to worse, and we ended up being lucky games ran out.

As a result of this lack in planning we now find ourselves 2 weeks away from starting the season in exactly the same position.

Concerns have been well and truly realised, and given the evidence of the previous windows, people are rightly concerned it’s not been addressed because it’s following the same pattern.

I’ll say again, it’s not just people being negative, as the concerns raised inevitably lead to a shit show, which currently does not look like being resolved.

Exactly. And what do we do today ? Sign another 18 year old foreign kid to go into the U21’s. It’s a fuckin disgrace !

The only hope really is that we still haven't seen how we react to bringing in a decent fee for a player.

Although Stewart's fee doesnt seem to have been enough and most other players seem to have % of sales so maybe unless we sell a clarke and ekwah or next year a neil and ballard for example its still far from certain we'll reinvest sizeable chunks.

And that's also assuming the signings we make are decent which is also not guaranteed

You said since promotion back to this league you've been worried.

sigh...its a completely ordothox view among the tredy football hipsters now..
they are wrong..but its an orthodox view..chelsea didnt play with one for a while for example..and they are trying to be a trnedy club..
i prefer my clubs to be successful..
saf signed forwards galore..but not a no 9
He said it cos he failed to sign one and yes then the hipsters jumped on it and lapped it up. Before that he said dajaku or whatever he’s called was a forward as well. LIES
