I was reading their Poveda thread earlier and some of their fans now believe Wednesday are the Galacticos of the division. They had a great second half of the season for sure, but have some self-restraint.

Amazing how blinded we all are with the love of our football clubs.

looks tricky and exciting . Might not score a lot but if we keep Clarke teams will have to cover both flanks. If we switch play like we did for watsons goal we might do well with him .

Can't blame them tbf. We've tricked ourselves into thinking we were going to do well after great escapes. They'll struggle again. Especially if their coach gets poached when the sackings start in a few months.

We need to score 80+ goals to be in the mix to go up. Last season we scored 54. I don't think Poveda is going to help make significant inroads into the gap.

Don't see that myself tbh. He might initially beat someone but never really has the pace to keep ahead of them after that. Often goes around in circles or knocks the ball backwards as a result.

That's fair does, perhaps I'm wrong but I've always had him down as a very quick, less good Roberts. Probably with even less end product.
