Isn’t he a left footed right winger? If so why are people saying he is the Clarke replacement when he’s totally different?

He's a similar type of player to Steed, not really a winger but good at dribbling in tight spaces around the 18 yard box

We do need an improvement on Roberts so hopefully he is that player, him being injury prone is a concern though.

I wouldn't class him as much of an upgrade given Abdoullah Ba has scored more league goals in two sketchy seasons than Poveda has in the whole of his career...

I know that, but that's where they got their game time last season due to the undropplabe Jobe playing in that role. I can't see much changing if Jobe is still here so that will limit both players minutes, if we're bringing in a winger.
