Disney world Florida

June 17, 2024 Update: Test Track 2.0 has now run its final lap, and the second incarnation of the attraction is closed for a multi-month refurbishment that’ll last until at least the end of this year, and potentially for the first half of 2025. From everything we’ve heard, this is a rather ambitious project with an aggressive timeline, but it still could take a full year to finish–perhaps longer.

Some time near Xmas 2026 then

Going there in a week and a half, can't wait, it has been 7 years almost. I can't wait to see my daughters face at Disney.

Hopefully we don't end up in a other hurricane (like Irma) this time.
Class had been 11 years gap between out last visits after going yearly for nearly 10 years and the bug took a hold of me again. I seemed to live Disney again through my 7 year old this time and coming years I’ll live it through my youngest.

we are looking to book for october next year, wanting to do a disney hotel for ease/kids , choices they have gave us are all star movies, all star music or art of animation , anyone stayed in any of those?

Also we are doing 10 nights , kids will be 3, 5 and 7 at the time, is it worth looking at other parks such as universal etc or would the disney parks suffice ? cheers

We’ve stayed at All Star Sport. They’re spot on for what you need mate. Art of Animation is newer, so might be preferable.

We’re staying in Pop Century this time. That and Art of animation are on the new cable car transport. So easier for a few parks.

There’s new things opened in one of the universal parks which are centred around kids. Shrek, Trolls, Gabbys Dollahouse etc. We’re taking the bairn(aged 4) when we go in a few weeks time.

Are they on skyliner? I’d choose one that’s on the route.

I loved it when I was a kid as well. Seeing my daughter and nephews faces will make it a different experience, I'm sure. :)

My favourite park was Epcot.

We're going to the Kennedy Space Centre this time (me and the wife) as we were going to go in 2017, but Hurricane Irma closed it down.

Epcot is my daughters favourite park. We thought she’d be all over magic kingdom but it’s comes second on list. I ain’t complaining.

Try Pop Century mate.👍

Think we will do a on site stay in 2026. Really wanna go back to CBR as stayed there a few times as a kid and loved cycling round the lake.

Never priced up on site stays before but reckon I’ll start as with 2 kids it’ll make sense rather than drag them both on the lynx 😂.

They’re pricier mate, but Disney do throw in some stuff.

Think we’ve got £750 worth of dining & $400 gift card off them. It’s nowt really but will come in handy

Can’t wait to get to Epcot

It’s once the youngest is fully on the move I reckon we’ll have to make the swap. At minute she’s happy in pushchair as just gone 1.

We just got the dining plan included with ours. Not sure if it’s really worth it but it was just part of the package so will give it a go

The skyliner is brilliant. We had a room right next to it last time and could be at HWS or Epcot within 10 minutes of leaving the room.

Art of Animation is decent. Nice foodcourt and you're on the Skyline route to CBR where you can change for HS or Epcot.

Pop Century an Art of Animation are virtually identical but Pop is a bit cheaper.👍
Stayed there twice and going back next year.

CBR has changed a lot. There's the Riviera resort which is handy but sort of ruins the ambience of the 'Carribbean' a bit and obviously the Skyline going overhead.

It's still really nice though, better in other ways too.

Do they share some of the same facilities? I think I might have just seen AoA.
