Regis le Bris - confirmed

Hadn't read that before . Fuck me Speakman is a clown with verbal diarrhea.
Yeah, It must have been infuriating for Neil and Mowbray to have to listen to this little spenk tell them how to manage. It's pretty obvious that Speakman didn't like Mowbray telling him a few home truths.

certainly isn't an example of me being a "fantasist", "conspiracy theorist" or posting bullshit about how the club actually works. It was my commenting on what I thought based on what has happened over the past three managerial appointments.
Agree- people go way over the top.

The problem is there are so many people pretending to be ITK on here that without “IMOs” people (me included) can get lured into thinking posters are claiming inside knowledge.

I believe we as fans have to support him in his role. As stated by others no one knows if he will be a success or not. We have had high profile managers who have bombed here and not so fancied managers who have done quite well

What gets me though is this constant spin by Speakman and KLD trying to take as mugs and not knowledgable around football
Remember KLD’s coaching quote regarding Beale which in all fairness had nothing to do with bigging up Beale but all about himself for recruiting him

Now in relation to Le Briss he says we are delighted to have attracted someone of his calibre.

What calibre

He has managed for 76 games. He didn’t get his professional coaching Licence until 2022

I take on board he has managed youth teams which is an area which will help in his role here but to try to spin this appointment off as we have made a significant coup is insulting to the fans.

It’s not as if he was an experienced footballer. He played 93 senior games

So I am not sure where his stock in the game has been highlighted for Speakman to use the word calibre

Don’t look too much into it. That calibre statement was made when they thought they had got Will Still, it has been on hold since.

I think the fact they were relegated and he didn't get sacked shows what the boards expectations were for that season.
They had the 8th highest budget in the league and the club chairman described it as a monumental failure. While they weren’t expected to challenge at the top, relegation was not on their agenda
Or they didn't want to pay off his contract
Or hadn’t made a final decision yet. Fans were dumping rotting fish at the training ground man. They weren’t happy at all

It is what it is.

All fair points though.
They aren’t. He didn’t get their highest finish, they only sold one player in the summer (the others had left on loan the season before when he finished 10th), they backed him to the tune of £60m and they had the eighth highest budget in the league.

Saying he’s justified in getting them relegated because they sold enzo le fee is like saying it’s ok for us to get relegated because we’re about to sell jack clarke.

The excuses are starting already 😅

But it wasn't wrong at the time
Yes you were. “We won’t pay” means we definitively will not pay compensation then or in the future.

I understand that a lot of people didn’t think we would because we hadn’t previously under KLD, it’s a fair assumption to make.

But it was incorrect at the time unless you knew of a KLD policy to not pay compensation.

If you meant “I don’t think we’ll pay compo” then the words you used were just totally wrong and didn’t mean that

I don’t think you’re a conspiracy theorist. You just either said something that wasn’t true or said the wrong words.

We didn't sack moyes, but I'm pretty sure the board didn't expect him to lead us ineptly to relegation.
They were looking to remove him from post after the season, but we've given some amount of compensation instead.
All we can do is see how he does for us now though, but it's close season and not much else to talk about for sunderland other than the head coach decision.
