Regis le Bris - confirmed

And Amad often papered over them the season before.
Very true.
And Stewart the season before that (we would never have been promoted otherwise)
I think our recruitment strategy has left us with structural weaknesses.

I mean it might be that Rusyn turns out to be the player we'd hope he'd be or that Le Bris turns one of the french lads into a top championship player.

Not impossible- but the wheels will fall off eventually

He shouldn’t because as it stands our squad isn’t good enough

No idea why people think it is

What’s the last sentence based on?!?

Because we get decent crowds?
Well before Beale took over, Mowbray/Dodds at the team in the top 6, so, it's a reasonable request for the new coach, to get the team back around that area, given the players we have on the books, that we actually own, now that the loans have gone back, providing all start pre-season fit and ready to go, then why not the play offs. ?
Speakmans comments stating that we're going for an improvement from the season where we finished in the play offs. He said it that's on him. You can't now backtrack on it because he can't do good signings

If he fails, then Speakman and whole backroom team needs to follow suit. They've had long enough now and clearly aren't the answer going forward.
Agreed, next time, if we fail, then the axe needs to fall on speakman and all the back room staff.

I have a bug bear about “aligned to our identity”. Speakman mentions identity repeatedly and yet has deliberately never defined it

Were he to define it, we would have something to judge signings and performances against. And a better understanding of why the club buy certain players or coaches

I think it’s a root issue behind a lot of questions about the club - and if we could get a decision of what Speakman means when he says “identity” we could then fairly and accurately judge a lot of what the club does against that
Brilliant post.

Mowbray was judged more by the club than the fans, Beale you could tell that was going to fall flat on its face, when you heard he finished 3rd with rangers in the SPL, you could manage rangers and at least qualify for the champions league.
That story has got somewhat exaggerated in the retelling. His only finish was a second place. Easily, 35 clear of third. He briefly had them third at the beginning of last season.

I see, how far behind Celtic was he at the end of it all?, with the league-winning side Gerrard produced?

I think he’ll do well here
I can't understand the reaction from some. I get there's going to be apprehension because the last 12 months have been a bit of a shit show and on paper his record doesn't look great. However, the vast majority of us hadn't heard of him until a week ago and have very little to make a decision either way. I'm pretty much prepared to sit my arse on the fence and see what happens. All we've ever done as a club is appoint merry go round managers, so this very left field for us. However, if you look around the manager market has completely changed and these types of appointments are becoming the norm. The biggest thing for whoever came in is the support he gets from the owner. If this goes the way Neil and Mowbray went, then we all know it's no coincidence. Let's hope it's a success, but if it's not, it's 100% on KLD.

I can understand people having concerns, we all have. It's the posts saying "that's Rigg and Neil away" " gone by October"

Like they know, almost hoping, he'll fail. It's mental
