Regis le Bris - confirmed

I mean they've got some unbelievably good young footballers, where did they come from like? Just came out of Mowbray's arse did they?

Problem is I think is that SAFC fans just want promotion, its f***ing hard man with all the parachute money kicking about

Ipswich was a one off that doesnt usually happen

He should not be judged on whether he gets us up like
What should he be judged on then?

I’m glad it’s over and we’ve finally got a head coach sorted.

Hand on heart I don’t know the first thing about him but as a typical football fan I’m now dreaming of a RDB side tearing up the league this season thanks to some surprising and really exciting signings between now and the end of August.

Why can’t it be our year this time?
Got to be optimistic however the chances of tearing up the league are slim with the model we have - we’re competing against relegated premier league teams with better players and others who will spend - top 6 will be a huge stretch this season with all the turmoil - if Clarke goes or we don’t recruit a striker and a couple of quality and experienced player it will be a struggle all season whoever is managing us.

Plenty will. Don’t get me wrong he’ll probably get less time than your average manager here. But that’s due to the owner/Speakman. But he will definitely get a chance here.
He probably has to start well or he will be under massive pressure. He doesn’t really have any pedigree to fall back on.
Hopefully he starts like he did at Lorient.

Would of been announced that they will join on 1st of July also . Why wouldn't you announce the new backroom team if it was indeed true they were coming in .
Simple answer is they arnt it's le bris dodds and proctor

Because you still have a week to announce it and all of the contracts aren’t fully signed yet? Maybe even because you haven’t sorted out the severance of existing staff? There are plenty reasons not to make a public announcement yet.

I for one can't wait for him to be sacked, of course I'll be disappointed because it'll mean the club and team aren't anywhere near where I believe it is our inalienable right to be, but it will mean I can glory in some of my more extreme positions as being inevitably correct.

I'm willing to wait a decade if that's what it takes, but I will be vindicated.

That’s the spirit…. One request tho.. please stay away from SOL.. it’s where supporters go.

Most seem to be just happy to have a manager, any fooker. The depths we have sunk to man. The more i think about it this appointment is akin to some team appointing dodds as their manager which i think most agree would have caused a bit of a stir if we had done that.

I have a bug bear about “aligned to our identity”. Speakman mentions identity repeatedly and yet has deliberately never defined it

Were he to define it, we would have something to judge signings and performances against. And a better understanding of why the club buy certain players or coaches

I think it’s a root issue behind a lot of questions about the club - and if we could get a decision of what Speakman means when he says “identity” we could then fairly and accurately judge a lot of what the club does against that
But he is completely aligned. We identify as cheap no marks.

A) KLD and Speakman (and the club in general) have shown they can’t be trusted over a period of time
B) Some people prefer a moan rather than to see us do well
C) People haven’t heard of the new coach so it gives them every reason to slag off the club

I actually think we’ll know by mid September what kind of season we’ll have because by then we’ll know if the coach actually is a Yes Man and we’ll know if he’s working with a Top 10 team or a relegation threatened squad.

D) We have had so many years of failure, hear-break and disappointment we have come to expect nothing less happening to us. Our confidence has been shot to buggery. We have not seen good time certainly since I have been supporting the club which is about 1996. What good seasons we have had have been generally been false dawns. They have not lasted long before we have been right back where a lot of people think we belong. All we ask is for is the good times. Something to cheer about but for years and years we have not even had that. So when someone, anyone, comes in, the first thing we are going to think is they are going to drag us further down.

Someone’s on the wind up 😂

I think he will get a chance and if it’s shite the crowd will turn on Speakman and KLD rather than the manager
