Regis le Bris - confirmed

Moyes got relegated after almost 2 decades of management. This guy has done it in his second season.
He'd also just been sacked twice, in less than a year each time, and was out of work before that relegation - 3/4 poor years and out of work, which would usually be enough to be hit with the shitty stick on here. But again, I'm not positive about this hire - I don't know anything about him, and I usually expect the worst for us. I was just responding to the recent relegation being used as a stick

Running the academy for 10 years before that I think. Had a playing career of sorts.

Thanks
I’ll give him a full chance

On the face of it, it just seems a strange appointment, not bad or good, just strange

Hopefully they know something I don’t.

Feels like they want someone to get the best out of these young French lads

I hope not as none of them are anywhere near as good as our British ones

Thanks

It's a bold step and certainly not the safe option.

If appointing someone with not a very suitable CV is bold then yes I guess It's exactly that.
What’s not very suitable? Experience in working and developing young players, aye he’s had a relegation but so have a lot of managers. Was highly rated a couple of seasons back

I've been stressed to fuck mate..sleepless nights. Ringing the club on a daily basis asking who the new gaffa will be. Having to disappoint the boy daily telling him we don't have a new gaffa when I promised him it was imminent.
Regarding that. Phil smith says pretty much everything was agreed when that statement was made

Thanks

You'd like to hope so with them running a professional football club, like ;)

Moyes was sacked from a job abroad. It's very challenging going to another country and adapting. (Something Regis will have to do)

Moyes was also sacked from one of the biggest clubs in the world.

I think that good managers can get relegated. And it's too often used as a stick. But this guy has been relegated 1 out of 2 seasons.
