Regis le Bris - confirmed

HIs record aside, the thing that concerns me is that Speakman etc are supposed to be identifying a style of play and building a squad and coaching team to match it. We've gone from neil, who was quite structured and direct, to mowbray, who took the shackles off them a bit and kept his wingers wide, to beale who played a narrow shape either a diamond or a xmas tree, to le bris who's been playing 3 at the back. Wheres the consistency there. Just gives me even less confidence in the exec group.
Cannot say I saw any difference at all in the latter Mowbray- Beale- Dodds formation or game plans.

ie - get out of the 18yd box while trying to make as many backwards passes as possible. Pass sideways and backwards across the pitch until we get it to Clarke or Roberts. Repeat and repeat until Clarke or Roberts run into one of the two defenders marking them and lose possession. Jog back towards own half, keeping ten yards behind the person you are marking and admire the opponents moving forward and scoring.

Can't argue with the effect, but the setup was drastically different with each. Mags took the piss out of us because we surrendered the wings playing a diamond. Made Dan Burn look like roberto carlos. Dodds played 3 at the back for most of his games.

A third of a year and we appoint a geeza with 30 per cent win rate and a relegation to his name …. The piss take party us louder and more active than ever ..

On what basis have you decided he sounds like a good coach?
Listened to that report of the bbc from the French football commentator and journalist. He said as much. That’s all we can go on because none of us know! Might be a great fit, might be shite. But i think we can all agree unlike Beale that none of us know what we are getting

Sounds like he's used to having the fans hate him reading about the fish malarkey, useful attribute as I don't think he'll be given much leeway, a bad start and things will be poisonous in record time. And with the squad as it stands a bad start is more likely than not.

He was our last manager. Still doesn't even know where sunderland is. We can compare to beale because it's not what we want. Still has no part of sunderland to even talk about
Great banter. There's very little in common with Beale. Maybe see how the bloke gets on, you can always fall back on 'I told you so'.

Dreading playing golf with mag mates tomorrow..they were already mocking how long it was taking to appoint anyone, saying the set-up was all wrong for any decent manager to come to us.

The problem being I agree with them.

I'm not going to pretend to know enough about him to have a strong opinion.

I'm not interested in comparing win percentages outside of context. Beale's was 76% at Rangers.

He's managed Aouchiche at L'orient so hopefully he can get the best out of him.
