Whether he would be a good head coach or not the optics would be awful and would reek of desperation. I worry what sort of message it send to our players or the players we’re interested in.

Admittedly at this point I’m not sure who they can bring that wouldn’t have that effect

If he was appointed months ago and looked like he was the main target they could have maybe got people behind it. As it stands though he’s coming in on the back of a relegation and is 72612nd choice.
