Greek Island Holiday Help

Never been myself but my mate (lads season ticket holder) has been to Skaithos and keeps going back, sure he’s there now 👍👍
They call it the boomerang island as so many go back

I've done over 20 Greek islanda and if I hat to return to mine that would be

Outside of that meganissi is great but harder to get there

Check out Chania on Crete. It's a brilliant town with many resorts within 20 minutes of it.

You can fly from Newcastle with Ryanair or Jet2.

We've been to Agia Marina virtually every year since 2008 and love it.

Send a PM if you want more info

We’re going to Agia Marina for the first time this year

Parga fits your bill , absolutely beautiful but you can't fly from newcastle (Manchester flight). Skiathos town is really nice but not traditional greece, lots of trendy cocktail bars. Skopelos town is also very nice.

How long ago since you were in Sissi mate? The wife has booked us up for a fortnight.

2016
It was a fairly small resort with plenty of nice places to eat and little bars . Lovely sunsets . We were there a week and loved it , we did a trip on one of those little trains up into the mountains and had another day out at one of the lagoon beaches on Chrissi island

I am worried it looks small and not much to do. The football season will have started too as we’re going in august so hopefully lots of bars/taverns that so football. First time I have been to Greece since I was a kid

Depends what you like to do , we were happy to relax and have a couple of days out . There’s a few Facebook groups dedicated to Sissi so you’ll be able to get some information on beaches, things to do. I did have a quick look for bars and football and someone had asked the question just a couple of days ago and people were giving him a long list so I don’t think you’ll have any bother.
Facebook groups and YouTube are good places to get information .

Found a brochure for Lesbos in the fence along the railway line when I was a kid*.

* before frankie** was all on-line.

** after he sang “Abide with Me”.
