Not that for one minute do I think the QPR manager would come here but if it’s true that the compensation payable is under £1m surely that wouldn’t put an increasingly desperate KLD off.

We wasted far more than that in Hjelde in January !

So won’t wait for rosenior to talk to burnley but happy to start conversations with QPR about approaching there under contract manager.

Any proper club would have already sounded out Cifuentes, agreed his terms and be aware of the compo to get him and simply be going here’s the cash QPR now we are going to talk to him, give the illusion of an interview etc and then announce.

This lot however have no f***ing idea, probably don’t know if he is interested, no idea on the compo and are simply at the next name on the list

I think the info ppl get is a day or two behind, so anything could have happened by then

I actually think he would be a pretty decent appointment, but just expecting this to be another no with what's going on atm. In fact, other than Rohl, he'd be only one I'd actually think "aye be good that", from all the names even remotely linked over the summer.

I agree with that. I’d be over the moon with him at this stage.

I think they need him now (or someone of that level) to appease the fan base.

£1mn is nothing for a manager you’re keen on, but every appointment we seem to get close to making/make under this ownership is out of work as a pre-requisite.

Flip side of all this and I'm certainly not defending them here as they've made a total balls up of this, is that they'll know spotlight firmly on them and fans turning on them. They're more likely possibly to go bit further than ever now, to turn that round.

I agree with that as well. I think they’re really running out of “next window/season/appointment/sign a striker” opportunities. If they cannot attract QPR manager at this stage of the project, then that’s a worrying state of affairs.

Need to show a bit of a statement and this bloke would tick that box for me.
 
I thought the rumoured compo for him was £6m but either way I can't see this one happending. It's gonna be Hecky or Challinor probs.
 
This thread just encourages the dafter elements of our support to think that we might actually be interested in him. A total non starter.
 
Unless Cifuetes is seriously pi$$ed off at QPR what possible motivation would be have to join SAFC?.

He did a very decent job at QPR last season and no doubt will have planned their pre-season and had a say on proposed transfer activity this summer.

When he joined QPR they were second bottom and we were 7th there was a 14 point gap between the sides.

We both finished on 56 points.
