I didn't want him anyway, but a club like SAFC being turned down by an out of work manager with his record, is damning.

I said when we were negotiating with Still…..if it’s money/budget related that is a conversation. If it’s something to do with existing staff, then that’s probably immovable.

Getting the impression we are stuck in a situation where no one wants to work with the current set up, but they’re not budging.

both could be true and were at panic station... speakman looks out of viable options; and after kld made his statement looks like he may have mislead his boss

You said you'd seen him play against Blackburn and Sheffield and he was rubbish, he didn't play in 3/4 games against them and the one he did was for 13 minutes when we won. You were using them games to say he was rubbish, that's a false statement, is it not?

We waited on Still because he was #1 choice, fair enough. Can’t help a top flight club coming in for him…them being in a financial mess was a red flag tho.

That’s two (that we know of) turned us down since. I’m getting the impression we may as well stop caring, because for the time being Speakman isn’t going anywhere and we are stuck with this situation.

Let them churn through two more managers who leave because of him and maybe the penny will drop with the owner.

I was prepared to give them a pass on waiting for Still, with him being the number 1 target., He must have been worth it given we sacked half a season off and essentially fired our best manager in years (mowbray not beale) for him.

What's incomprehensible and worrying is that we didn't have a viable plan B, C or D to immediately turn to, once Still wasn't an option. That is what all clubs, or even any other business, do in recruitment process. I've defended Speakman previously with player recruitment, as its more of a long game and one where his hands are tied by KLD to a degree, but the managerial appointment has been an absolute shambles from start to finish. What a Joke.

You didn't say it for that reason at all, you've been caught and are now trying to backtrack. Are you seriously trying to suggest when you said, @'ve seen him play against the likes of Blackburn and Sheffield', you meant you hadn't and just meant similar teams? hahaha

Then what was I saying then Perry? I have no reason whatsoever to backtrack - I haven’t changed my opinion on him whatsoever in this thread, have I?

Ok, when I saw Rusyn against our peers last season, he was wasn’t very good, in my opinion and I’ll see you in court. Slander man, dear me.
