Liam Rosenior

The longer it goes on and the more names attached fall away the more of a concern it is that there really is something fundamentally wrong.

I think you're deluding yourself if you don't already think there's something fundamentally wrong.

Managers who are out of work are turning down a job at the biggest club outside of the PL. A team that finished in the playoffs a few years ago.

It’s not that I’m deluding myself, it’s that I firmly believed NOBODY can be stupid enough to fuck things up anymore.

To me, it just suggests we have absolutely fuck all money.

Must be. Talks supposedly held with Maric, Still, Jansen, Rosenior and maybe others yet still no appointment made. Something must be putting them off.
I just said above mate, I think YES there are issues that are putting people off but due to the clubs desire to try and blind with science I think the situation is completely down to being potless.

Because the Higher Ups have told us in the last communication that they have learned from their past mistakes and if we appoint Rosenior who looks to be a 4th or 5th choice desperation move it will show they haven’t - he plays boring sideways and backward football and failed to take a massively talented Hull team into the playoffs when they should have been a shoe-in
Not a lot they can do if people higher on their list (if true) have turned you down.
They can't force people to take the job

Even pre-dating that - Alex Neil jumped ship despite seemingly being in a great position, the biggest gentleman in the game Tony Mowbray cut a frustrated figure and I even remember shortly after Tony took the job Chris Wilder made comments to the tune of 'we all know what's going on there at Sunderland and good luck to Tony but I wouldn't be going there' which seemed odd at the time.

Speakman, from the outside, seems like a toxic character that rubs up managers. I like the sporting director idea and model but the manager always seems to be battling against Speakman rather than being helped/listened to.

Seems like a perk that. Not many bosses give massages.

Perhaps, but I'll then be forever priapically compromised....
Nuclear option ...then Therapy ....

Today marks a week In discussion with LR ... nowt against him, but if he's getting clay footed about taking on the biggest role of his career then what does that say???
... his 7th place finish was good but hardly worthy of giving us the stink eye for this long ....
unless we were offering something shite

The farce rumbles on a a far completion I'm an old folks home ... something stinks

I think it's partly this but mostly that they're struggling to find someone prepared to effectively work with their hands tied behind their back in terms of influence over and recruitment of the squad.
I don't blame anyone for not wanting to put themselves in a position where they play fall guy for Speakman when it all goes wrong.

5 managers in 3 years. One was sacked in a playoff position. One left and complained about the structure etc. One was sacked after complaining about structure/transfer business. One was sacked after about a month and a half. One was given the job for three month because they didn’t know what the fuck to do (and appear to still not know).

Then when you look at transfer business etc of the last 12 months plus the ever looming potential of losing our best players I can’t really see us having a particularly great pull.

I think what I’m trying to say is that the lack of money is what is driving every facet. From the ludicrous working conditions to the horrendous transfers.
