Liam Rosenior

Proper doom mongers on here. I'm happy then I take one look at these threads and I feel depressed as owt.

Give it a rest lads and lasses.

Try and be a bit positive.

By the way what's the latest?

Another manager whose home form was apparently poor as well
We really are fortunate with the quality of home results

There is none, we're just thinking its him as no one else wants to come to us and no one else wants him.

I would say the biggest failing under Mowbray was not having a striker to either help create or finish chances. You won’t find that reflected in the swot spreadsheets tho.

It’s a good example of exactly why that stat is so limited.

The xG is weighted on the actual chance though opposed to the finish (finishing or not make no change to xG itself) so a striker finishing chances makes no difference to what is created (but as you say an effective striker could help create somewhat) overall but ultimately it’s a managers job to find ways of creating chances striker or no striker.

Mowbray’s failings were mainly he had one type of way of playing, often just chucking people forward and overloading with an over reliance on giving the ball early to Clarke and him doing the rest, with no real incisiveness and would often be cut open as a result from a couple of passes and ultimately that went against us/him. Just allowed teams to sit deep and narrow and let us huff and puff.

Though then Beale was sacked because he wanted us to concede less going off what Speakman said after so we have a sporting director wanting lots of attacking/chance creation with less reliance on a solid defence and Rosenior hasn’t really showed that. Oh, and he’s probably going to have to do it without a striker at all as well if the last couple of years are to go by coupled with Speakman suggesting strikers aren’t needed in football.

Aye: some people have become deranged this last few months. There’s plenty to criticize, but it’s just constant griping on every thread about every update…even the ones that clearly aren’t true, they’re all over it.
Aye there's plenty to criticise, but some go out of their way to look for something. Making rumours and made up opinions, facts, is the popular one now.

You know the answer then - don’t look at the threads😂
