Liam Rosenior

Feels like he’s really a last resort tbh, we’ve whored ourselves all over and end up with what’s left.

For what it’s worth I think he’ll be a steady pair of hands, but we’re going nowhere under this ownership imo. The whole model and ethos at the club is shocking. It’s not going to work.

If Rosenoir turns us down then I genuinely don’t know where we go, probably end up with some idiot who will say yes to anything just to get a shot at our job.

Was his first goals. His first game we lost 2-0 at home to Chester and slipped to 12th. Lowest ever position until the glory days of Phil Parkinson.
That’s right . I’ve got the video upstairs of that season

Someone has uploaded it into YouTube though

I think we are already at that point.
IT REALLY DOESNT MATTER WHO THE HEAD COACH IS AS LONG AS THESE OWNERS ARE HERE.No money for signings, probable sale of a couple of our decent lads, and interference from above. What sort of person takes the job,yes ya right an unemployed gadgie
The only place this club is going is div 3.

Recruitment will show us where the owners want to go . The managerial appointment looks like it is a shambles if we have been turned down by so many (IF true) but the timescale suggests this to be the case . I just want something announced. All this we need the right candidate. I think they have missed out on the candidate they wanted (Weather they would have been right is another matter, but let's just get someone in and see what we do in the window . SAFC should not be begging for managers or head coaches FFS.

I’m not drawing a comparison. You said only people who don’t watch games take notice of it. Beale was an example of QPR fans going a going to games and thinking ‘wtf, how have we won this’ then looking at the xG from the games and it showed he was over performing by being reliant on punts on distance that couldn’t be sustained. He tried the same thing here as well.

Lots of people thought Mowbray was brilliant here but he had a number of failings (that people were regularly attacked for pointing out) that were laid bare and cracks were papered over for some time before the wheels ultimately came off.

The way we may have ended up with Rosenior draws a comparison to Beale but not their records in isolation.

I would say the biggest failing under Mowbray was not having a striker to either help create or finish chances. You won’t find that reflected in the swot spreadsheets tho.

It’s a good example of exactly why that stat is so limited.

My issue more than anything is we always seem to go safe. Rarely take a risk or look outside of a narrowed view. Only time we did that in the last two decades was probably advocaat tbh. Every other manager has been uk based when hired and only two were actually poached from a job that I can think of. Even advocaat had managed in the uk previously
Fully agree with this. How come other clubs can unearth gems like McKenna, rohl, the qpr guy etc. Yet every time we just pick up another failure off the merry go round and then act surprised when they turn out to be a failure?! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm on the fence with this one, don't think he'll be shite but he's going to have a big job on his hands. Probably be on a hiding to nothing though unless we suddenly sort our recruitment out.
