Liam Rosenior

So does he play defensive boring football or open attacking football? Cos I'm seeing both opinions coming out of Hull fans & pundits on twitter :lol:
Well confused.
Hopefully he plays winning football and we have some sort of identity. Not too bothered if it's pretty on the eye tbh.

Listened to that 2nd Tier podcast that was mentioned on here earlier. They watch much more Championship football than anyone on here.

Summary for those who won’t listen to it:

One of the best young managers in the Championship. Still only 39, last season was his first full season in management.

Will be a PL manager before long, done an amazing job with Hull given where he started and not having a striker cost them top six.

Specifically said it was ridiculous we aren’t looking at him and focusing on Will Still.

Very positive review.

The brains behind someone else, does well at there first job. Beale all over.

Mind I'm just pointing out that if you weren't happy with Beale nothing suggest this lad will be owt better
Apart from him having a full season in charge of a team he kept up the previous season, and got them on the verge of the play offs.

Now we know why Speakman wants him

They were a clinical number 9 away from it like.

Reminds me of someone

Shocking appointment if it is Rosenior IMHO. However he will have my full support.
Nothing against the lad but after all this time and the board choose him is a disgrace.
Shame on you KLD CS 🤬
That's why it's not going down so well. Fans have waited 100 days in the hope that we would appoint a top head coach only to be let down 100+ days later with this imminent signing. The waiting around for Will Still has made it harder to settle for anyone else, most of were expecting him then he goes to Lens. Then Jansen came along, got excited over him because he did well apparently and now find out he has been cast aside for Rosenior. Can't blame the fans for being angry, I am also and he isn't my choice but we'll have to see how he does.

I think with how things are at the club now he will get a lot of stick early on if he doesn't get the team playing well, he won't have much time to get it right, just like Beale. I can only hope he does well for us and wins games from the start.

Totally get this and share the thought to a degree however I can't get onboard with the massively OTT criticism of how supposedly bad he was at Hull (not particularly by you , just in general)
Aye - I think the reason for this is that I havent really got an opinion on him tbh. Never took any notice of him as a player or coach so, to me hes nothing to get excited about...I think this will be the same for most

Because they’ve had weeks and weeks to sort it out. If they wanted rosenior when he was at hull they didn’t move for him. When he was sacked he didn’t jump to the top of the list or they’d have appointed him already.

It’s been a month since he was sacked and nearly two weeks since hull hired their replacement. Its clear he was well down the pecking order.

They’ve had months and months to interview candidates. Unless they’re interviewing thousands or interviewing one a months there’s no way it should be taking anywhere near this long
There could be a million reasons why it's taken a month. Could have been our choice, could have been his choice.

If he signs it's because he wants to be here, and because we want him to be here.
