Liam Rosenior

People had no problem with Dodds when he was back room staff for neil and Mowbray, just now he was HC it’s a problem

If he steps back from assistant I’m happy. Doesn’t need to be sacked
Fair enough but if he is stopping a decent HC from bringing in his own staff he is a problem, given his best mate is Speakman and it appears he is not looking at this objectively.

The problem in appointing a HC is no input in transfer policy and bringing in a couple of their own people.

Given the pathetic efforts of last season Speakman and Dodds are in no position to have so much power imho.

As a positive slant on Rosenior, I truly believe that if he had done what he’s done in a foreign league, folk would be welcoming him.

Hull were 21st when he took over; they finished 7th. They also didn’t have a striker.

Last season was his first full season as a boss. He’s credited with the good work Rooney had done at Derby and did a good job with them. His style may not be perfect but he’s young enough to adapt that.

Does he get the heart racing? No. Is he the safest appointment out there atm? Yes. I think he could be excellent.
I don’t think he would have been on a list before purely because he was seemingly safe in a job had just been nominated for manager of the year.
For me it’s just proof that the club is being run appallingly. They’ve had high in half a year to replace Mowbray and they’ve taken 3 or 4 months over this appointment only to end up with someone who is only available because he’s been sacked recently. He obviously wasn’t on the original shortlist or part of their master plan.

They’ve fucked about and dithered and ended up with someone who they weren’t even considering as recently as a month ago. Hardly a ringing endorsement of their recruitment process is it?

But surely that's just speculation rather than proof?

What if they rate Rosenior higher than anyone not named Will Still? What if they had other people they liked but they absolutely butchered the interview?

Been thinking about how he doesn’t play amazing football. Would we really care if it got us promoted? It’s not like we’d turn to man city and start pressing them and playing attacking
And if he doesn’t get us promoted? Season of shite football will fan down like a lead balloon after last season while we were playing some of the best stuff in years the season before last. They’ve made a rod for their own back really.

Because they’ve had weeks and weeks to sort it out. If they wanted rosenior when he was at hull they didn’t move for him. When he was sacked he didn’t jump to the top of the list or they’d have appointed him already.

It’s been a month since he was sacked and nearly two weeks since hull hired their replacement. Its clear he was well down the pecking order.

They’ve had months and months to interview candidates. Unless they’re interviewing thousands or interviewing one a months there’s no way it should be taking anywhere near this long

The beauty of football, very few guarantees.
