I think it is the case with Potter, as soon as he takes a job his Chelsea wages stop, which is probably why he hasn't taken a job as yet. Don't know about others like Cooper or Rosenior but Potters wages are obscene and he's not getting that money anywhere else. It must be true as I sure I read it on here.

Why would we need to restart the process if we are continually succession planning?

Just because you identify a target doesn’t mean they are going to agree to your offer.

Will Still left Reims on 2nd May. How’s it taken us 5 or 6 weeks to get a contract over to him?

As I have said above it happens more than people think, but it depends on the club/manager.

I just think Rosenior might be one that is on gardening leave as his contract was so big when he went.

That’s 79 days.

What was our data and succession planning doing to find us a new head coach in those 79 days? How come it didn’t find any one and we are now a further 33 days down the line from it and looking to appoint another out of work manager who is likely to have to work within a coaching staff that oversaw form that went from us challenging for the playoffs to avoiding relegation by 6 points?

Surely people don’t want to defend the club this much than they are ignoring what’s staring them in the face?

I think we wanted Still and were prepared to wait until the summer to get him. Unfortunately that has backfired on us.

I agree it took too long to get to the agreement stage with still, but it doesn’t mean it wasn’t agreed. It was. But he’s jumped back to France at first opportunity
 
For me, if it is him, its another totally underwhelming appointment. We were sold a model whereby one head coach or player leaves the club his replacement has already been identified. This shows that those in control have no idea what they are doing, we have had god knows how long to identify who we want, seems like we had no clue and gonna end up appointing someone who only became available 3 weeks ago. We are on the cusp of losing a generation of fans through a series of bad decisions and in my opiniin this is another one, totally bland boring football will not keep fans interested. If he is succesful it will not be because our ownership groups model worked, but by good luck. I can't see KLD & KS coming through this one when it goes pear shaped as this is the most important decision they have had to make this far with all eyes on what they do. Total lack of ambition from them

Could be a relocation thing initially though

He travelled from Derby to hull and turned down Plymouth for the same reason

Might have changed his mind.

But yeah it does look like it could be that reason also

Then we did Zoom on Thursday
Got told there's fuck all budget on Monday
Met Dodds and Proctor on Wednesday
Joined Accringon on Thursday
