Liam Rosenior

I know what you're saying, but experience managing at this level didn't seem to have much of an impact on teams gaining promotion last season.
Very true although I think having squads with better players probably helps a bit too mind ! (Certainly in the case of Leicester and Southampton).

Not the fact that we had to plod on for 3 months with Dodds who was out of his depth and had 2 months of rubbish under Beale too, maybe if we employed the right manager then we might of been a lot higher ;)
Fair points but I don’t think Rosenior is a bad manager. 7th was a good finish considering teams ahead of him. Always impresses me when I hear him speak.

He watches them every week, knows how he wants his team to play and sees that not only was Rosenior not even attempting to come close to that, but he was also failing to get them the playoffs with his own turgid style, which would have been the only way he could've tried to justify the style.
If you like seeing the ball passed around aimlessly in your own half then he's your man. This is what sickened the owner and a lot of supporters.
The stats don't lie.

7th is a good finish but he was told to get the playoffs minimum. Hull were going for it spending some decent money on players and getting players like Carvalho on loan from Liverpool but he had them playing boring football according to their owner and missed out on the playoffs so got the boot. Just think he would be another Beale type of appointment, hope we get that Jansen as Still looks like he is going to Lens, truthfully I wouldn't mind OGS as our manager, big name and has a good manager record.

Good shout re OGS mate

I recognise your cynicism, and I know hindsight always wears rose-coloured specs, but it's called aspiration.
I have no love for possession based, backpassing football. It's boring. Inverted wingers who never swap sides to have a go at the by-line are easy to set up against. Not having a striker is criminal. Constantly conceding breakaway goals is stupid. Set pieces are crucial and have to be organised in defence and creative in attack.
I just want a head coach who addresses these issues. It might be quite entertaining.

It’s going to be Rosenior without the high quality signings Hull made last season though. That makes me shudder. His football was dull as dishwater.
Danny? Retired now I think.

He would probably be a safe pair of hands for a season, but we need to progress not stagnate, hope there's something In the Jansen rumours, his profile seems ideal for our club at this moment in time.

Hes only had 2 jobs

Sorry if im not enthusiastic about this one!
No I can fully understand people’s apathy (or worse) at the prospect of Rosenior and of the two being talked about now I’d much prefer Jansen.

The club haven’t helped themselves yet again with this saga. If, five months after sacking Beale they appoint Rosenior, no matter how they try and spin it, the appointment will be a big disappointment to many and yet more ammunition for those who think despite all the laudable rhetoric they’re really just winging it.
