The Athletic: Brentford want Jobe

So let me get this straight - a kid who was 17 at the start of his FIRST full season in men's football, was inconsistent but finished our 2nd top scorer - yeah lets sell him because he's crap. He's played under 3 managers in about 5 different roles, more games than he should have through no fault of his own - that's on our recruitment team as the only other option we had was a 16 year old who many on here would love to see burnt out by playing him every week instead, just because he's from the academy.

In those first few games of the season where he played as a 9/False 9 whatever you want to call it, he could (maybe even should) have scored double figures - I would wager a 20 year old version of himself with 100+ games would have scored them. If we are going down this route of improving youth surely it's counter productive to sell at this stage.

2 seasons ago Clarke wasn't even in the starting 11 for the league 1 playoff final - now look at him.

McKenna would turn this guy into a proper player. How could a young boy settle and play his best football when your club is going through so many managers?

Nah. If prem teams think he is good enough to play in that league then he’s worth double that particularly his age and capacity to improve. I woujd suggest a) they aren’t interested in him at all of B) he goes for 20 million plus
Or, if he does go for a figure round 10m......we're either very bad at negotiating or we're after any quick buck we can get

This was taken from the Evening Standard yesterday.
The 18-year-old midfielder, the brother of Real Madrid and England star Jude, is thought to be one of Oliver Glasner's (Palace) leading transfer targets this summer.
Love that 'thought to be'
😂 yet people on FB take it as Jude is in talks.

Mental isn't it
Jobe won’t be in their league. He’s only 18 but he’s huge physically. If it wasn’t for his brother no one would be interested. We have younger players with a lot more talent than him

If it wasn't for his brother, an 18-year-old who scored 7 goals in his first full season would be being lorded on here
