Joe Gelhardt

Ipswich will probably want to improve on Kiefer Moore in the Premiership but he's light years ahead of what we have up front. The likes of Clarke and Roberts could find him easier than whichever headless chickens we have available at the present and the best part of the last 18 month. Joe Gelthard certainly isn't the answer to the problem, hopefully Speakman realises that. A competent head coach certainly would.

Sounds like could be a bit of a fire sale going to happen at leeds with their financial situation. We learnt Gelhardt isn’t an out an out striker for definite but if we are to push for promotion we are going to have to buy more than 1 attacking player. He’s better than what we have put it that way. 22 years old, English. Surely we could get him for 1 million. I think he’d be a decent investment at that price . Would certainly be a good squad player in my opinion. Only played 10 games for leeds last season I believe. We would still need a proven goalscorer but i’d see it as a decent signing if price right.

He would have improved our team last season no doubt. Whether it’s the right thing going forward I doubt it unless we are going to offload some French lads
He was more robust than most of our team. Solid championship player, who linked play very well

If he couldn't score in Mowbray's attacking side with Diallo. I doubt he can do it now without Diallo.

Alright but we need an out and out striker.

He would basically be like the three we already have not scoring hardly.

He contributed far far more than the three or four. What were you watching Eric, the lads link up play was excellent, the ball stuck to him and he put in a hell of a shift allowing Clarke, Robert’s Dialio etc to do their stuff. Very unselfish player… in a completely different league to the other 3/4.
Iam not sure he’s what we need though. I’ve no idea how the coach will intend playing and who is leaving, but he would be great value for £1m

He's awful.

He was playing in a good, confident attacking side and he didn't even know where to stand to best receive the ball. Someone would get to the byline and he'd be ambling about on the edge of the box sometimes.

He scored 1 goal for Leeds last season largely because he wasn't good enough to start games for a top 6 side. That's where we are aiming to be surely?

Big fat no!

His best position would be where rigg plays as well

Gelhardt had nowt to do with Diallo being effective mind it was doubling up on the right with him and Roberts.

He's a good player with plenty of potential to improve, but it's testament to where we are now that we are saying for 1 mill "yeah I'd have him" instead of "where does he fit?". Our whole squad is full of players who might be a bargain, might not - sometimes multiple players gambling on the same spot. Until we get a clear vision from top to bottom on how the club looks and plays we will always be suckers for this type of thread.

Aye that’s a fair enough post mate.

Well he seems to divide opinion i guess! Don’t get me wrong when he was here even though he was played out of position I didn’t think he was great but i just think as a squad we have fallen so far backwards any player that can improve the squad is welcome. I thought him as a young, English player with potential sell on value and who we could possibly get relatively cheap would make him a decent signing with the current model ( which i hate)
