Evening all. Long time lurker here. Just signed up because I spotted this thread and thought I’d share a badge idea I put together ages ago. Not sure if the circular badges are still trendy, but here you go. Obviously modelled on Man City’s newish badge to a large degree, as that seemed to be the style. Got the ship, the black cat, the bridge and colliery wheel in there. Hope someone likes it anyway.

Aye, I think everyone went for round badges because social media avatars are round. Seems like they’re going more stylistic now like the Juve badge. Easy to print etc.

We also won out only trophy in the last nigh on 80 years with the ship one as the official badge. It was on Stokoe’s suit.

The shirts had the SAFC script on them which looked better….

I like that, but me personally, I'd lose the cat at the top, keep the bridge, and replace the football with the head of a black cat (domestic, not bloody panther), but yeah, nice

Probably not

I can see the current crest being retained for specific things. Man United have an old/creat they use on suits for travel etc. in this case they wouldn’t need to replace it on the stadium etc.

Why would anyone want a badge to represent their club that is an illustration of a historical industry that closed about 40 years ago? Shouldn’t the ship be replace by a Nissan Qashqai.

I like most of it but think the black above the ship should be maybe dark blue like the older badge and maybe change the bridge from black too but the rest is spot on.
