Will Still - Lens Manager

Not really getting the clamour for Still tbh. Imagine most contracts terminate end of May anyway. Logical that nothing much will be declared until early June at the earliest as the likes of Fishpaste know. Much of the speculation therefore is guff really.

Wonder how good he will be with Speakman signing a load of rubbish and a tiny budget?

And a chance our best players will be sold off.

Will Speakman still be here? He is an obstacle for good Coaches - hence Neil and Mowbray jumping ship. Not sure the tiny budget is true - more a case of how it is used - back to Speakman. Coaches looking for the next job are jockeying for position atm IMO. We have a place in the food chain and it isn't as high as some on here think.

I don’t think it’s speculation. I think out of the names strongly linked Still will please the majority.

Be Svensson out of the names so far for me. Only one with playing experience apart from Heckingbottom if you can count that. Playing experience at a high level in our structure is sorely lacking. I don't think it's a coincidence Mowbray and Neil departed after working under Speakman for a while.

The Speakman debate can go on for as long as you want so I might swerve that  I don’t know how many other clubs have someone in Speakmans position who have played at a high level but I don’t think it’s something that’s integral to success. I’m not sure I could name many in that position who are hugely successful and have played at a high level either. I’ve genuinely never heard of Bo Svensson, Rene Maric or whoever the latest name was linked yesterday. Only one I was mildly aware of was Still but to be honest every single managerial appointment can go either way. People didn’t want Mowbray and it worked out, Alex Neil was underwhelming for many and it worked out. Everyone unanimously wanted Martin O’Neill and that didn’t work out. The type of coach the owners want means it’s going to be someone relatively unproven who’s young and has a certain way of playing, anyone in that bracket is a gamble imo.

Magnus doubling down saying if it’s not Still he’ll never post again and saying he doesn’t know when announcement will be but Still will start his role on 1st June.
Was it Magnus or Reiver or someone else who said exactly the same when Dell was supposed to be taking over?

Fast forward a couple of days after it blatantly wasn’t and ‘things change, yadda, yadda’ was trotted out.

Agree nothing is guaranteed - didn't go too well last 6 months with the Academy level boys in charge with no playing experience though did it or the times before that when they stepped in. There is a trend there.

Certainly did not mate

I don’t know mate. No idea who said that

All this will hopefully be over by the end of next week then new coach can have his input in the squad what he thinks we need potentially even convince players to stay. I see things hopefully moving fast once he’s in
It's cack - he's going by contract timelines.
Fish paste knows what he’s talking about mate. He gets a lot right

I agree, it would be however if within the game it was thought that we had good ownership and a professional and competent set up and DOF who isn’t as arrogant or as up himself as he is.Still can’t understand why he deemed it necessary to say he had just witnessed world class coaching when he appointed the man who 99% of supporters knew wasn’t a good fit for the club.SAFC is still regarded as a huge football club to manage, it will be common knowledge within football circles as to why two good men in the game didn’t stay long under the so called flawed model we have.

Does he fuck man 😂😂😂

Robert’s defo wants away, Robert’s signs a new contract.

Stewart not going anywhere, Stewart to Southampton. Sky report there may be an issue, fishtit doubles down and pretends he’s that well informed the deal is about to collapse. Minutes later deal confirmed 😂

Amad coming back, even Romano called him a liar on that one and showed him right up.

Loads more but they are just the last 3. Calls himself a journalist 😂. He covered every base with this one like he always does, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
