The club has a tonne of work to do just to keep us in this league next season. Its very worrying as I don't trust them to be able to pull it off.

We'll be relying on other teams to be shitter than us rather than making any changes to the model or how the club is run.

The Bellingham surname sure helps.

Decent enough for an 18 Yr old, but not enough to be first name on the team sheet every week. That's just f#cking mental!
I was watching on I follow and it had the Sunderland commentators on which I thought were sound....but why do they call everyone by their surname apart from Bellingham who they call Jobe?

At this level the squad of players isn’t that bad. We are just badly coached and hugely deficient in a couple of key areas. A quality coach and good centre forward would make a massive difference but I expect neither

It would make a difference and confidence and momentum can carry you as well. I'm struggling to see any real development in many of these young lads we've brought in though- in terms of strength and experience gained and in the forward thinking players in terms of just plain quality in the final third.

There's also been far too many injuries in many of them to really see development, which tbh should maybe expected to a degree as they're often kids who haven't been subject to the rigours of senior football before.

Decisions to be made allover - at the back there's a lot of young lads with injuries and it regularly sees us shoehorning players in. Having let Batth go we brought in more young lads and their injuries or being completely inept like Hjelde/Styles has left us as short as we were back end of last season at times.

In midfield what of Evans? Do we let him go or take a chance on him given the time he's been out and how prone to injuries he seems to be.

Last few transfer windows have been abysmal and despite whatever people think - spending decent money on your Mundles, Hjeldes and having so many players not making an impression like Bennette, Triantis, Mayenda, Rusyn, Hemir, Pembele etc who were signed for money too means resources have been spent on players who are taking money out of the club and not contributing and in many cases don't look likely to and might even cost us to move them on.

Over a million quid spent on Triantis and Mayenda and they've managed about 7 games between them for Hibs since end of Jan. If there's no first team investment we aren't Chelsea - we can't afford to be spending those funds on players who need so much development unless we're in a much stronger financial position ourselves.

People didn't get the argument for just one or two more senior or ready pros last summer to add to the youngsters we had as they thought it would block the first team path, but all we've done is create a situation where we're bloated with young players who aren't up to it and haven't the support around them to flourish. We have bigger problems than I think you're willing to let onto.

Because that’s what he’s asked for on his shirt and to be labelled as on the team sheet. He’s removed Bellingham.

Spot on mate. I wish people would stop making excuses for Jobe. He's shite. Take his surname away and people would be saying the same.
I’d not be saying he was shite. It’s nowt to do with his brother. He’s massively overplayed and should have been dropped more, but he’s ended up our second top scorer. He’s a Championship player with the potential to be a decent one which is our level

But up to Jan they were. So to throw the whole lot out is stupid. What were we doing right up to January? Keep that bit and improve the rest. Basic stuff.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater because some people are having a hissy fit.
So keep the same lot, except Clarke, and you expect them to have a better season next year? We’ll be in exactly the same position. Its the basic stuff we can’t get right and that’s down to those players you want to see start next season?

Not for me. Terrible footballer. Seen oil tankers turn quicker....of course his brother has got something to do with it.. we wouldn't have signed him and played him every week if his name wasn't Bellingham.

I think he’s a decent Championship player and will turn into a decent Championship player and that’s why we signed him. But you don’t agree and that’s fine.
