*~*~* Sunderland v Millwall match thread *~*~*

Its like Stoke under Pulis, everyone knows they're physical and its their style of play so its seemingly okay.

Its more frustrating that we're not good enough to be putting shite like that to bed ultimately.
I feel like it's worse if memory serves. Stoke were physical but fair. They didn't surround the referee and they didn't feign injury at every tackle.

Add boring and that sums it up for me.
Left with 75 min on the clock, something I have never done in my 66 yrs of being on the terraces.
Normally a 90+min man.
Have to be honest. It slightly surprises me today was the final straw for you not the 1-5

My plan of staying until the end to beat the traffic worked, only took 30ish minutes back to Whitley Bay.

All stats point to SAFC, two thirds of possession etc. But I'd rather stick my head in the oven than watch the highlights.

Half hearted boos at the end too, this season can't be over soon enough.

Another game where fuck all happened.
Was chatting to my mate for 45 mins, then the half time whistle went.
We needed a goal, so brought off a forward and put a 2nd right back on.
It's just a waste of time at the minute, every team that comes here know how to play against us, same shit game after game.

The majority of that possession was completely pointless in front of their defensive lines unfortunately. Pretty much no urgency at all. Any times we got round the sides of them there was nobody in the middle.

They were shit and we weren't even good enough to take a point.

Ive never heard a chief coach say his team were " boring to watch" . And he seemed really pissed off and quite right too. Its obvious the lads arnt arsed and Dodds dosnt have the dressing room behind him.

We left before the goal. It was utter dross, but possibly not even top 3 worst home games this season.

We beat the traffic and feet up for the FA Cup kicking off.

Our club downed tools ages ago so no harm in leaving early.

first home game I’ve missed this season . Decided to watch Spenny last game. No playoffs unfortunately but a few decent pints with mates.

That game was the definition of watching paint dry.

We weren’t bad in the same way as vs Blackburn, but we were utterly clueless.

Dodds cannot do anything other than set up a team for a backs to the wall performance. It just shows how undervalued Mowbray was in terms of getting a reasonable tune out of the squad we have.

Dodds’ man management looks to be shite.

Desperately disappointing today with former fans favourite Duncan Watmore rubbing salt in the wound.

Awful, flat, pathetic, ponderous, one dimensional. What drills does this coaching team do with them during the week?

The big changes needed should include them too in my opinion. Dodds, Proctor and Co are clearly part of the problem rather than the solution. A new Head Coach needs to bring in his own people with new ideas as things have gone stale.
