*~*~* Dirty Leeds v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Some decent performances from a few of our lads, but no Sunderland team should ever be coming away in the second tier and just hanging on for dear life for most of the game.

In our current situation it’s a good point, but the club has a long way to move forward to get where is deemed acceptable.
Spot on, good result, but it's pitiful thats where we are at.

You’re happy that a sunderland team in the championship goes into a game and plays for a draw, which we got because the ref missed a pen?

I think the lads played really well, baring a couple, tonight but we shouldn’t be in a position as a club where that result is the best we can hope for.

You want to put your understandable frustration with the ‘club’ to one side and enjoy ‘your team’ again.

In context that was a great result by a team prepared to die for the shirt. You heard the fans, they were happy. It may just be papering over the cracks but you can only play the game in front of you with the players you have got.

I feel great tonight, can’t imagine why a Sunderland fan wouldn’t

Absolutely must sign a striker and a midfielder.

I think Neil is class for this division and can run a midfield if he has a reliable defensive midfielder alongside him.

We need to find a 15 goal a season striker. 3 between 4 strikers this season just isn’t good enough.
Not by any stretch!

It’s embarrassing tbh! 🙈

It was ok, defended well and rode our luck. Jobe up top is doing his best but he’s not a striker. It’s so obvious what we are lacking and I have no faith we will bother to fix it.
A few more decent results before end of season and Speakman will feel vindicated and not in a rush to change it either

I disagree, our ball retention at home is far too over cautious, nobody is prepared to try the killer pass. Hence countless passing from wing to wing until we lose possession.
We have no one to play the killer pass to. We aren't a good team, but I suppose hoying 11 behind the ball is all we can do at the moment

I just want more for the club than being happy with a point away in the championship.

I am happy with the performance tonight and really enjoyed watching the match.
