CC : Durham v Hampshire

Have people seen an Essex player was collared for a oversized bat.

What's the chances that Essex aren't handed a 10 point deduction like we were?

Wettest 18 months on record since 1836.

Mad how much the south has had compared to the usual.

Bloody hell, didn’t realise it had been that bad.

Does seem like it’s not stopped raining since about October though.
One positive if the match is abandoned is the Durham seamers have one less round with the kookaburra ball to struggle with
Was listening to Alec Stewart on Sky’s podcast and he reckons playing with the Kookaburra is ridiculous. Seems it’s a directive that has come from Rob Key.

How did the billingham senior team get on? The Buccaneers have made the final by beating Telford yesterday which was a fantastic result
Stars beat Whitley Warriors 3-1 and Buccaneers so impressive won 2-1. Two finals today, Buccaneers at 1pm and Stars at 5pm. To say Stars have ruined Whitley's weekend would be a massive understatement. It was a great day yesterday and whatever happens today, we've loved it.

I live in Great Lumley and although conditions aren’t great, I am surprised they’ve called it so early. We’ve had bright sunshine the last hour and yesterday afternoon was lovely barring the wind.

Read the social media quotes. It's clear the club don't like the criticism whether folk agree with it or not.
I'd block comments as well. Imagine being groundstaff, trying your bollocks off to get games played and you read absolute idiots commenting as if they're in control of the weather. There have been some ridiculous posts on here this week as well.

It's frustrating of course, but it can not be helped and there is no one to blame.

Are the new concussion protocols in place in first class cricket? In recreational cricket a batter will not be out if they glove the ball and it ricochets on to their helmet and they’re caught as the ball is immediately dead once it strikes the helmet. Same applies if a fielder hits their head on the ground before the ball crosses the boundary, the boundary will not count as the ball becomes dead at the instant of the head strike.

Seems insane 3 days abandoned already
My garden was flooded all of last week. So it makes sense an open expanse of grass right by a river would be in a similar state.

Just wish there was a way they could feasibly cover outfield to avoid such a scenario.

Was really looking forward to watching this game, Hampshire 3rd last season with a formidable attack was a great test for us back in Division one.
