We love an absolutely pointless underwhelming signing like. Speakman really couldn't give a fuck about what we need for NOW could he ?

All about what these players can potentially make the club in a few years
Not sure what is pointless or underwhelming about signing a highly rated youngster in a position we need cover.

As for the 2nd bit, it’s just nonsense really. If it was all about that, we’d be selling players at every chance we get.

what i don't understand about this 'model' , is if these players have potential to increase in value and be 'flipped' , then why don't their clubs just keep hold of them?
The players themselves don't want to stay when they aren't going to get in the Tottenham or whoever side. They want to play. This fella turned down a contract at Tottenham.

Fits the model.

Signing these young unproven players is never going to have a 100% success rate, they won't all work out by any means, but his profile gives him a high a chance as any.

I just really really really want us to sign a CDM.
One thing we have done well with those that haven't worked is shift them on pretty quickly. It's better than signing someone for £20 million, putting them on £50k a week and then having to pay the contract up to get rid.

Like Dajaku and Bennette?

Edit and Lihadgi as well
Is that Lihadj that we made a few million for very little effort? Bennette will be good somewhere, the 3m euro deal they wanted still resembles a profit too. We do however need to get Moore through the door.

Similar profile at Spurs to both Clarke and Cirkin, had been training with the first team but limited opportunities to play. Based on the other two it seems like a risk worth taking
Certainly seems so. This is the type of signing we should be making. Far less of a punt than a foreign young un who has to learn the language and culture.
Mind, Kazakh Sterling probably also fit the bill.
