*~*~* Sunderland v Hull match thread *~*~*

This is the worst sunderland side to watch since promotion from league one.

It’s utter shite.
Which is the exact issue. There’s no f***ing chance this squad is as poor as we’re seeing on the pitch which is evident from last season and early this season. Our tactics are minging man.

Don’t even know what formation we’re playing and which midfielder the holding one and which is attacking. Parkinson the sequel

They're clearly too focused on playing within a system, they look confused and rigid. There's no spontaneity or opportunism. Everytime the ball Is in the box there's no-one back post
Correct. It's like no one is allowed to be a individual and play freely. It's like they have to play to the system and stick to the system.

Anyone remember that Jimmy Grimble film where the dad always shouts “Give it to bloody Gordon!”

It’s the same here with every manager when we’ve got Clarke playing. “Give it to Clarkey!”

Nobody wanted him other than Speakman. You're talking out your arse. As if you're some sort of oracle.
This. Only other appointment in my time that has come close to the almost universal disapproval for Beale was Parkinson, and unfortunately like Parkinson it feels like it's going to turn out to be every bit as dreadful in reality as it looked to be on paper.

I’d largely agree. I think weve been boring most of the season. I think we’ve plumbed new depths in the last few fixtures mind.

Under Mowbray we at least looked competently toothless. I’m not sure what this is with this fella
We went from a forward thinking team who pressed and played quickly to a team who are possession based. Passing for the sake of passing. It's utterly tedious
