Spirit of 37 - display v Newcastle

Well said. Totally embarrassing hearing this homophobic chant being sang by many in last few weeks. Things have thankfully moved on in society since this song was conceived. It only needs one word to be changed.
The Mags LGBT community will be so glad they won’t have to hear any
homophobic chanting . They have campaigned for years to stop Homophobia in society all over the world . Now that even SAFC fans have gone Rainbow their can rest on their Laurels and enjoy the new owners

We've been saying it for years, and alot on here would toss the paranoid blah blah blah. What's happened over this game kinda adds weight to what people have been saying for years.
RAWA and the supporters reps (who do a good job imho) really need to ramp this up in future dealings with the club.

We are lying on our back with our tummy being tickled.

We all need to grow some balls and say this is not acceptable - like the mags would do if the boot was on the other foot.

Giving them the Black Cats Bar and banning legitimate protest is disgusting and people employed by SAFC that have allowed this should be sacked imho.

I heard that song being sang by thousands in the south stand - and the overwhelming majority were using the word “puffs”.

I’m calling how it is instead of pretending it’s not happening

It’s homophobic because the word hasn’t been changed…and when it was sang on Monday 90% of the people singing it used the original word.

Change the word - job done.
Change it to what?

Staff employed by SAFC have made it impossible for clubs like Leeds and Boro to bring more support and thus bringing more money into our club for health & safety yet when their mag mates turn up all the health & safety and previous rules go out the window. Criminal really.
That's what pisses me off, you know for a fact it's gonna revert to safety issues with the next big away lot in the league right after we've housed 6k in the most volatile fixture we've got. I f***ing hate hypocrisy in all its guises.

Why can't can't people grasp that it's not a welcoming committee from our club to the scum , it's the fact they have the money and are willing to pay for and put in place a full transportation of fans to satisfy the pervious safety concerns by the parties involved in the decision making process. Leeds, Boro and clubs would not put these measures in place simply down to the cost involved, money talking again for the scum getting there way.

You would make a valid point however we've given them a (semi) corporate area and welcomed the wankers with open arms and bent over backwards for them. It's fkn minging

its a song that's been sang for donkeys years, I'm sorry but you have no chance of changing the words to it just because a few snowflakes now don't like it, but 100% have sang it themselves before.
I’ve 100% sang it……when I was a bit younger and dafter. Doesn’t mean that people should continue to sing it because “that’s what we’ve always sang”.

Also “snowflakes” because we don’t want the club being associated with homophobic chanting. Wey aye mate

So your saying we sell our soul for a few gold coins??.

We had to give them upto 15% is safety concerns were answered. However the black cats bar I agree we should of closed it .

If you're referring to the bcb I agree we should have closed it rather than issue it to there corporate lot.

I disagree. As soon as they’ve allowed them to have the North stand lower we’ve made the most amount of money from them. The club will make a million quid off the mags alone (I don’t know what the split is and how much the club actually get for FA Cup games). That’s a lot of money for us when we are (rightly) trying to run the club as a sustainable business. Everyone seems to have quickly forgotten we nearly went bust less than five years ago. I’ve got no issue with rinsing the fcuk out of them.

1990s: "the Mags or geet soft puffs" - evil homophobic socety

2020s: football club is owned by totalitarian dictator that executes, imprisons, and oppresses gays (campaigned for by local politicians, journalists, musicians, and celebs) - "Look, that copper is dancing with an LGVTQRSLNYZ++ flag. Society has finally moved on"
