*~*~* Rotherham v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Thought we improved when Pritchard came on but not sure what team plays against Preston. Roberts will be out for a few weeks at least so won't play against the Mags. Ba looked better with Pembele on the pitch. Seelt got found out as he ain't a full back. Hope Cirkin or Alese can get fit soon to give some balance on the left. Burstow is a no, Ekwah was ponderous, Bellingham kept going but mostly a total chod game against an injury hit Rotherham.

What would it take for you to day something negative about the club? Were u sat clapping when burton and bent relegated us to league 1. Genuine question btw
I’ll say something negative when we stop moving forward . I’m happy to take small steps and not overreact as soon as something goes wrong . We were told that this was a long term project but some are too thick or ignorant to understand how this works .
We are like night and day from where we were a couple of years ago .

Was listening to the Last of the Summer wine commentary for Rotherham and he pointed out a couple of times that Burstow has made a number of excellent runs but wasn’t found.

Habits are not to play that ball it seems.
It was a really nice and pleasant commentary team, wasn't it? Just South Yorkshire personified in two decent blokes commentating on a footy game.

In touch of play offs. I’ll take that going in to January. Beale can’t be blamed for anything. If Mowbray was still here I think we would be a couple points or so worse off. Beale can’t take credit for that either, he has had no time to change anything yet. I will reserve judgement.

What is your point ?
Well Beale didn't change it did he ?
Are you blaming Speakman ?
That's a different argument than saying Beale isn't good enough after 3 games.

What from the first three games have you seen as a positive? What in his career elsewhere makes you think he will be a success here?

My point is twofold:

Mowbray shouldn’t have been sacked at this stage of the season unless there was a ready made replacement available who would inspire the fan base

Beale isn’t good enough. He failed at QPR and Rangers. He has shown nothing in three games (I appreciate it’s a short period of time) to suggest he will be a success.

I’m hoping Roberts injury was just a niggle.
